If you clicked on this, chances are, you Will lose a few friends. But hey, who needed them and their non-milling selves? This was the first EDH deck i ever made, and with some minor (okay maybe major) tweaking I've decided to post it here! The idea for this deck stemmed from when WotC released Born of the Gods, which as the second theros set, i was expecting some OP legendary creatures, what i was not expecting was Phenax, God of Deception which, as i have stated multiple times since, likes big butts, and can not lie. after opening him up from a fat pack i bought on release day, I wanted to build a deck with him so badly! Enter: Elder Dragon Highlander, 100 Card Singleton, the fact that once my opponent's stuff was gone, --it was gone! Phenax fit like a glove in the format, and I've been using the deck as my go-to ever since. If you really are as much of a degenerate as me, then welcome! You, fine Sir/Madam are now reading a quote-unquote deck tech of a ~$500 example of why i should not be allowed to have free time. But i digress, as this is where you should be learning how this deck works, so here we go. There are four main mill combos to this deck, The first utilizing Duskmantle Guildmage + Mindcrank /Mindcrank + Bloodchief assencion to mill an opponent infinitely and deal enough damage to them so you would still win against Laboratory Maniac, and the second using Paradox Engine and multiple mana rocks to use Phenax's ability multiple times per turn. The third is the most complicated, using Grimgrin, Corpse-Born, Bloodline Keeper   Necrotic Ooze and Intruder Alarm. The way this combo works is by getting Grimgrin and BK in the graveyard, and then using necrotic ooze to get a vamp with BK's first ability, sacrificing it with Grimgrin's, and repeating for infinite +1/+1 counters, and then eventually tapping Ooze to mill someone's whole library, and then saccing any creature to repeat the process. (suggestion: Create a fuckton of vamps first with intruder alarm on the field, then mill everyone to death). Finally, the fourth combo is similar to the third, but without utilizing grimgrin, instead you need either Thousand-Year Elixir or Lightning Greaves in place of grimgrin, with this combo, you use Necrotic Ooze (with BK in the yard) as an infinite token factory, and then moving greaves/elixir down the line of tokens as an unholy milling conveyor belt. Now even though I've been playing with this deck for a while, I am always open to suggestions on how to ruin the lives of other people I mean, make the deck better.
