This deck feels retardedly good. I dont yet know how it will operate against other good decks in the format but, I'm willing to bet that this deck will be near the top of the food chain.
It's not uncommon to pop
Westvale Abbey
on turn 4, or to drop Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger on turn 5
Even if it takes way longer than that, you have chump blockers for goddamn days.
Seeing Evolutionary Leap and
Zendikar Resurgent
on the board at the same time is straight up ridiculous. With an established board state, you'll be drawing for days, and loading the board with all sorts of good stuff.
Hangarback Walkers get fucking huge in this deck! I'VE GOT SO MUCH MANA TO SPEND!
Cryptolith Rite might be a broken card, as it's what enables this deck to do so much, so fast.
Zulaport Cutthroat is a 2 of right now, but I dont know if he deserves to stay. He helps out in the grind if you dont have your heavy hitters yet, and it is really satisfying to pop
Westvale Abbey
and create a 10 life gap, but the spots he takes up might be better used. If there were a sack outlet in the deck, like Nantuko Husk, It might be interesting to go for a durdle burn-like strategy, and load up your board quick then sack everything for massive damage and life gain. Food for thought, not sure if that would actually be a viable strategy.
Nissa, Voice of Zendikar is here just because she's good. She makes more dudes, and with Cryptolith Rite out, she might as well be making Birds of Paradise instead of shitty little 0/1 plants. She survives plenty because of all of our blockers, and it's pretty great when she bolsters your army of little fuckers.
I'm waiting to assemble the sideboard until I see what the meta holds
