I would drop the crusader of odrics for 4x Intangible Virtue .

Crusader of Odric , is gonna have a similar effect of Intangible Virtue without vigilance. Instead I get a creature that can go toe to toe with titans.

You have a pretty mean deck here the only time i could beat it with my Nicol Bolas deck was when your deck was mana screwed. +1 from me and any comments on my deck would be appreciated

This will work pretty well, just watch out for Ratchet Bomb s. I used to run an Esper version of something very similar to this and I know first-hand how much punch this strategy can pack.

I think you could swap Odric, Master Tactician for Hero of Bladehold . also, I recon Sorin, Lord of Innistrad is way way better than Elspeth Tirel . I do like the addition of True Conviction never seen that before so +1 :)

I like the control aspect of Odric, Master Tactician . Also Hero of Bladehold is in the sideboard for certain matchups that odric isn't needed. I like Sorin as well, but this is my brother's deck. I'm about 90% sure Sorin will make his appearance upon rotation. Thank you, and if you like the deck don't forget to score it.

Your curve is bad. Really bad. you have no ramp, and your spells are on a pretty high curve (3-5 mana). You will get mana screwed. Remove True Conviction and Elspeth Tirel and add some lower costing cards, like more Fiend Hunter s or Sorin, Lord of Innistrad . They aren't bad topdecks either and can be in your opening hand without you worrying about having the mana to cast them.

There are 6 cards that cost more than 4 mana, with the majority of the deck resting on a casting cost of 2 or 3 mana. That kind of curve doesn't seem unreasonable, although I would certainly vote to replace True Conviction with Sorin, Lord of Innistrad .

My brother is playing it at FNM right now, and lost against 2 human decks :(

I really like this deck. +1
Playtesting against it, I lost 1-2. The only way I could win was by dropping Vampire Nighthawk + Rancor + card:Druid's Familiar + Ulvenwald Tracker before Mirran Crusader could tear me to shreds, gaining back any life I had lost and slowing beating your deck down in the air.

Thank you snotskie, I always like when people playtest my decks and give me feedback.

What would you do if you came up against something pro-white like Knight of Glory ?
August 17, 2012 9:11 p.m.
I have the one dismember in sideboard. I also have a lifelink land to take a few hits and out swing pro white creatures. Or card:Faith's Shield to swing past them. What would you recommend against pro-white?

Dismember is good but I think Tragic Slip is better personally, though it might take a bit more landfixing than four black sources to do. (maybe like 2/3 swamps for 2/3 plains)
August 17, 2012 9:23 p.m.
I too am a fan of Tragic Slip , but I enjoy the speed of having so many Plains . It also lets me keep more hands that I might have to mull if there was not enough white sources.

My bad on the knight. The dismember is great removal but I feel that the one is not enough in your side board, also if they have multiples out of the knight what then? Perhaps a Day of Judgment or two, that would get past the protection ability.
August 17, 2012 9:30 p.m.
I haven't come across much problem with pro white so far. The deck is pretty solid. Maybe an additional Dismember in the sideboard would do good. The deck will take a pretty big hit upon rotation, that's really what I'm afraid of.

Just a thought. But I hear you, I've been shying away from those sets with the decks I've been making.

I really like Odric, I just wish he was more playable in standard.
