Orah's Death Cult

What the Hell is Going on Here?

This is an budget friendly-ish aristocrats deck built around using sacrifice outlets like Priest of Forgotten Gods combined with orahs recursion of clerics combined with effects like Cruel Celebrant to drain your enemies of life!

So Its a aristocrats deck, Exciting Right?... But Wait There's More

with some extra value coming from cards like Athreos, Shroud-Veiled to protect bigger clerics from dying rather than relying on the heart of the cards to revive them and Smothering Abomination and Sifter of Skulls that ramp and draw cards from sacrifice. There are plenty of resurrection cards that aim to bring back bigger clerics on important synergies back from the graveyard back into play, cards like Blood for Bones really over performs in this deck by getting 3 creatures back from the yard, as well as Beacon of Unrest or Sun Titan that can retrieve a lost Skullclamp or Pyre of Heroes .

Pros (good combos ̿'̿'\̵͇̿̿\з=( ͠° ͟ʖ ͡°)=ε/̵͇̿̿/'̿̿ ̿ ̿ ̿ ̿ ̿)

there are great synergies that may not be apparent immediately making this deck an adventure every time its played, synergies such as ramping into a combination of Priest of Forgotten Gods and Dictate of Erebos is a powerful combination that gets a softlock on the game while you set up the cleric sacrifice with card draw from Grim Haruspex

Children of Korlis will be accessible very frequently during the playtime if it's drawn, giving the deck some resilience against big attacks, if you can instant speed sac a cleric to get Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose out after an attack then sacrifice children to gain the life back, opponents get a direct taste of their own medicine. Debt to the Deathless and Revival / Revenge combined with vito can also finish the game.

cons (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

the deck is weak to flyers if you're unable to get rid of them effectively, and due to the size of our creatures, opposing phatt creatures with trample can cause issues. although the inclusion of Teysa, Envoy of Ghosts and Sun Titan as big things on the ground might help against these issues as well as negating attacks completely with Children of Korlis give it some longevity, because we're here for the long game.
more protection is needed, the deck pushes out removal of creatures, enchantments and artifacts, but against direct removal its lacks the ability to protect its synergistic creatures a creature like Selfless Spirit is perfect, but many of these cards are expensive. it can dish it out but can't take it back. Athreos, God of Passage gives a little protection against boards wipes.
