Introduction

When I started playing MTG arena, I stumbled upon Cultivator of Blades and had so much fun playing Llanowar Elves, giving my Cultivator Prodigious Growth and overrun the enemy with pumped up 8/8 elves. This time I tried to find a few more cards to make that strategy work and this deck is what I came up with.

The core

Wild Beastmaster & Cultivator of Blades pump your creatures up, depending on how strong they currently are. Blanchwood Armor, Boar Umbra, and Prodigious Growth make sure, that your Beastmaster or Cultivator get a tremendous power-boost so you can make extreme use of their pump ability.

The big swing

Nylea, God of the Hunt & Aggressive Mammoth are real threats on their own. Additionally they give all your creatures trample, which will cause massive damage, once you swing with 5 elves+servos and a strong beastmaster/cultivator. This is how you finish most duels.

Helpful Minions

Season of Growth & Setessan Champion help you draw cards and have a great synergy with the enchantments. Paradise Druid & Sylvan Ranger help you to ramp into the more expensive stuff. The ranger even brings more forests to the battlefield, making the Blanchwood Armor even more powerful, while the druid has hexproof, so it will be difficult to get rid of her.

Results

I playtested this deck a little and was surprised, that in over 80% of the matches, I got a lethal swing at turn 6 or 7. Sadly this deck is very vulnerable to flyers and removal, so it is easy to disrupt. I feel like this strategy is very difficult to polish to a competitive level, because you need a lot of different stuff on the battlefield to make it work, so I couldn't really decide which card I should replace for some protection against flyers/removal, and what that protection could be. For instance, Blossoming Defense came to mind, but as I said, I am not sure what to cut for it. Bottom line is: This is a casual deck, which can work and if it works it is lot's of fun, but it probably won't cut it, if you intend to play in a more competitive environment.

Thank you very much for looking at this deck!

I hope you enjoyed thinking of how a duel would look/feel like, if you played this deck! If you like the deck or have a suggestion or whatever: Please leave a comment or like! It's free and brings me joy :P
