Changed this from budget. The budget version didn't stack well against one of the best decks in my local meta. Still this is budget as far as legacy is concerned. Most Legacy decks get very highly priced.
This is the Pox deck I will play once I get the cards I need.
Hand Disruption + Land Destruction + Creature Sacrifice
Get
Nether Spirit
out and slowly beat them down +
Cursed Scroll
Inquisition of Kozilek - Get's rid of most of the pesky early drops.
Hymn to Tourach - Two random cards for two mana
Smallpox - 1 Creature, 1 Life, 1 Land.
Sinkhole -
Rain of Tears
didn't cut the mustard. I am on a search for the Sinkhole's I need to be competitive.
Cursed Scroll
- This is a staple in most of my black decks since extended. I usually have 1-2 cards in hand when I scroll. Every turn end of turn scroll for 2.
Sensei's Divining Top - My card advantage. I would have gone with Phyrexian Arena but I am already losing life to Pox. There is no real gain (which may change). And the top lets me stack my next three draws.
Nether Void
- Dash Hopes plays surprisingly well. The problem is, I need four in the deck to make them useful. I need card advantage.
Nether Void
if I draw it is just a better play than 4 cards slots on a card I need mana to cast when I am land grinding.
Crucible of Worlds - I need to be able to bring lands back from my graveyard to keep mana advantage.
Ghost Quarter - In for
Dust Bowl
. My meta doesn't run many basic lands. Crucible of Worlds + Ghost Quarter
pumping and slow down your opponent while keeping your momentum.
