Pretty standard Black/green beat down deck with a basic manabase. However the sacrifice and graveyard as a resource themes with dredge work together rather well. Especially with The flashback cards all tying into the theme.

The highly prevalent sacrifice theme through out the deck woks on feeding the Mortician Beetle However, each card has it's own unique use. Briarhorn has a unique built in sacrifice mechanic, while providing bonuses, or lasting field presence. Shambling Shell and Grave-Shell Scarab both have an at will sacrifice.

They also have dredge, so they can work to fill the grave. With the graveyard as a resource with both flashback, and dredge. Golgari Germination adds blocking power, and fodder for flashing back Dread Return. As does Awakening Zone the tokens here however also provide mana ramping, with a built in sacrifice.

Putrefy and Deadly Allure are just good removal cards. Deadly Allure in particular works well with Golgari Germination.

Grave Pact Fits perfectly in the theme of things.And keeps the aggro off while the deck builds up.

Lotleth Troll Fills the theme of the deck as is a sadistic threat.
