Alright, back from that catastrophe. Glad things didn't fall apart over here. Though I do regret missing out on our first legit tie (and not mentioning to leave out my vote in case of said ties).
First order of official business: Giving Skaven123 an official welcome to the group!

Actually surprised to see some Gruul come this way. From what I see here, Hired Torturer
is technically a creature within our our colors, though I'm rarely a fan of pure defenders. If we're going to take a risk, I'd prefer only involving one less color and going Pilfered Plans
, but we have seen an awful lot of Nivix Cyclops
being passed around and although I'm not convinced Izzet is open, someone has to take them. Not like we have anything to really lose with this pack anyway.
Withholding on voting for a little longer, I think.
June 29, 2013 3:47 p.m.
My thing is, yes I'm an izzet. I love the UR comboing in RTR block. But we have made 6 picks that specifically cry out "WE'RE GOING JUNK GUYS" So why, for the love of bolas would we start snatching at izzet cards?
June 29, 2013 4:04 p.m.
You know, I have to agree with Zephyr. The fact that we are getting a 7th pick scab clan giant is a very good sign that Naya, and Gruul specifically, is open. The only reason I was slightly hesitant about Naya before was that the pick one "common" to our left could have very easily been a Druid, but this shows that wasn't the case and along with seeing the Wolf and Alive and Well in the last pack tells us that not very many people are going Naya.
+1 Scab-Clan Giant.
And I advise everyone else to really consider it as well. Like Zephyr stated, this thing is first draft pick worthy and has virtually traveled across the entire table, and it would be VERY easy to add with the current cards we have.
(Now to hope that we can get some Druids to come to us :D)

i wonder if anyone's drafting red at all...
i've been convinced.
-1 mending touch
+1 scab-clan giant

Not to mention I count it as removal. I'm convinced (especially compared to the rest of the pack).
+1 Scab-Clan Giant

Alright, I can see the benefits of the Giant. And this opens red up to us just a bit.

ChiefWannaHacka, Skaven123, TheHorse, zaddos, how are you currently feeling about this?

Definitely +1 that Giant. Apparently everyone at this table is going some combination of W/B, unless every pack we've seen besides our own was just bomb city.
June 29, 2013 9:52 p.m.
Well, BREAD does tend to make people lean towards black.
June 29, 2013 10:32 p.m.
is skaven going to participate? he hasn't posted and debated with us since he joined our team...

Mayhaps he'll be a more casual member, popping in every so often or so. If he's having issues, he hasn't said anything yet.
Going to submit Scab-Clan Giant
shortly. Doubt the majority will change before time's up.

Just got word on the next pick; it'll be up shortly.

There's a familiar face.
Rot Farm Skeleton
Clear a Path
Drown in Filth
Hired Torturer
Rubblebelt Maaka
Sinister Possession
Wake the Reflections
Wind Drake
June 30, 2013 3:20 a.m.
wow. i was looking at rot farm skeleton's price, scrolled down, and almost cheated by looking at another group's list.
i guess since we might be going red we might as well pick up the maaka
+1 rubblebelt maaka

Maaka is definitely a Brute Force I don't want others using, though I'm not sold on going outside of Junk colors. Not that our Golgari options are very tempting either (I'm squeamish with going too deep on self-mill in Limited). Wondering just how much black/white this pack started with, too.
June 30, 2013 3:35 a.m.
Yeah, As much as I would love to run Junk, the signals are definitely telling us that red is open and black is being hoarded.
Ready is still a great card to run in Naya even without Willing which means that the only card we really lose is the skeleton (which isn't the most amazing card to begin with).
Though if we get the cards I wouldn't be opposed to trying a 4 color build.
+1 Rubblebelt Maaka
June 30, 2013 4:26 a.m.
+1 Rubblebelt Maaka
Definitely a signal that red is open upstream from us.
And hey, if we wanted to we could play a singleton swamp to pay for the willing part of our split card.
June 30, 2013 4:40 a.m.
+1 Rubblebelt Maaka
I've seen this guy do some icky, nasty things in limited. Yes please.
June 30, 2013 5:03 a.m.
I like both the maaka and drake. Its not too late to go full on UR. We are still seeing good cards in both colors.
June 30, 2013 7:24 a.m.
I would avoid blue if nothing else then it's probably going to be drafted hard in pack 2. I mean I wouldn't be surprised if 3, if not more, people to our right are blue with the stuff we've seen pass by.
June 30, 2013 7:47 a.m.
Most of what we have passed in both blue and red we have seen come back to us
June 30, 2013 8:08 a.m.
We haven't received our first pack back to us yet.
The next pack should be the one we started with and should give us some decent information about who is picking what.
zaddos says... #1
So you think we are going to get better cards in colors everyone is trying to go into or better cards in colors no one wants to draft RU is always underestimated in the drafts o have seen and comes out very strong
