Anyways, we've put sufficient text between the link and the spoiler. Nothing sacred beyond this point!
We got reaaaaaaaaal lucky here. I talked with him after, and his main wincon was AEtherling . Also, this was at least one deck that nabbed the Far / Away s. And as we saw, none showed, with a confirmed flood in game 2. While I won't give it all to luck, it was a factor (Hell, our Giant's what, 3 for 3 now? Also came out of nowhere according to him). Lot's of sweet curving out on our side; I was amazed.

Nice epic Kraul Warrior misplay game 2 lol.
To be fair, it wasn't THAT bad of a flood comparatively. It was his 12 land to your 10 land, and if we are talking about mana sources in general you saw just as many as him. The difference was that you could sac yours for cards while he couldn't.
Also, it was ridiculously funny how much KrazyCaley was rooting for Landot's deck over ours XD.
But yeah, Landot was definitely a player to our near right in the draft.

@Supersun - Yeah, just glad it didn't matter in the end with a Warped Physique that would have wrecked its day either way.
Don't forget the 2-3 land in his hand as well.
I really should watch the duel-stream. According to chat KC sounded real depressed by the end of it. And the Pilfered Plans .
Landot was third seat to our right, compared to Darkness being our right-hand neighbor.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong but...
Scab Clan Giant can't even randomly select a creature with protection against it can he?
"To choose a target at random, all legal targets must have an equal chance of being chosen. There are many ways to do this, including assigning each possible legal target a number and rolling a die."
"The current reminder text for protection reads "This [object] can't be blocked, targeted, dealt damage, or enchanted by anything [quality].""

As much as I beat myself up over it, the draws weren't really the greatest either. Probably should have mulled at some point, maybe. -_-
Mossdog, where were you?!

Game 1, dropping the Cluestone before the Druid I think was a misplay. If you dropped that druid instead of the cluestone then next turn you would have been able to drop your cluestone and the Krasis, and from there you could just start dropping the high defense creatures. I don't think it would have won you the game, but it would have placed him a LOT closer to 0.
Game 2...was just a majestic fail. Not forcing him to pop that Legion's Initiative by pumping the kraul that the gatekeeper was blocking was a huge misplay. You also don't go randomly throw your creatures away when a red gatekeeper and a legion's initiative are both on the board. You need to ideally keep +2 creatures over your opponent to survive his all in and happily take whatever +1's you can get.
I think you would of had a chance at that game if you just took it slow and played the control route. The way that the board was looking it favored you if you drew the game out. He wasn't going to really kill you anytime soon with just a Rakdos Drake. You could afford the loss of life to slow the game down, picking off advantage, until you could get enough on the field to put him on a 2 turn clock. Trying to play that game as the aggro was a big mistake imo.

Yeah, no disagreeing there. Even as it was, just holding back the birds would have been something that'd help turn favor in game 2. Feel like I really dropped the ball with that one, as I both misrecognized the timing on Legion's Initiative , but also screwed up with the Gatekeeper's lack of defender - a kind of creature we've been talking about all throughout drafting and a misconception I've taken advantage of in the past with Stuffy Doll . It was a painful showing.

Thanks Tempest! Couldn't have done it without everyone here. And some sick draws.
Now to take down the last match and solidify a place in the top 3.
