Dakkon Blackblade: Not Green Ramp

Commander / EDH

DankHill

DISCLAMER!! The description bellow is not mine, its from the deck list i based this one from i just needed to remember all the interactions bellow, to find his deck search "Dakkon Blackblade: Esper Landfall"

This deck was constructed strictly for casual play. If you want to play it 1v1, you're not going to have a great time! There are some obvious upgrades that I am still trying to acquire, and some less obvious ones that I'll make as I play with it more. The deck aims to land ramp in the early turns, be resilient and interactive through the mid game, and then start punching people with a huge Dakkon Blackblade as the main win condition. Once we have 15 or 20 lands in play, we can go 1v1 with pretty much anybody. Synergies include:

Reprocess + Zuran Orb and Faith's Reward + Planar Birth + Second Sunrise : This is the main combo! We get a ton of advantage and incidental landfall triggers.

Ruin Ghost + Tideforce Elemental gets us lots of triggers each turn!

Burnished Hart + Second Sunrise gets us 4 quick triggers in the late game.

Herald of Leshrac + Zuran Orb will make a lot of people very mad, very quickly!

There are some better effects out there for recurring value creatures like Burnished Hart or Pilgrim's Eye that I don't have yet, so feel free to make suggestions in the comments!

UPDATE 8/31/17 List is current as of today. Some of the more durdlier cards have made their way to the bench. Oblivion Sower was a big addition, as along with land destruction and Relic of Progenitus it can allow you to steal 10+ lands from a single opponent. Dimensional Breach with an Admonition Angel under an Oblivion Ring is basically a hard lock; lands exiled with breach can also be stolen with Oblivion Sower. I don't tend to put a lot of money into commander because I don't play it very often, which is why the manabase is suboptimal; however the incidental advantages from extra landfall triggers with karoo lands and bad fetches does make them better than they appear. Immediate upgrades I would make given unlimited cash would be completing the cycle of real fetches, shocklands, and ABUR duals, but it's not my current priority. This deck can compete in a 4+ player game, especially if no one figures out what you're doing until dimensional breach resolves; but land destruction ruins friendships, so I keep it packed away for special occasions. Thanks for reading!
