This deck is not complete. I am looking for ways to take this deck from a 3 on a 1-10 scale casual to competitive, to around a 6. I want it a little more competitive, but not to much where no one likes playing against it.

I try very hard to keep my decks low cost. I am a college student and Magic is an expensive hobby. So I do my best to keep my decks cheap but playable in a semi-competitive state.

$120 cart checkout- $30 dollars of expensive cards below, that could be replaced=

$90 Commander deck! Not to shabby for a deck that plays quite well.

The expensive cards in this deck are:

$7Platinum Angel, got Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker in a pack and traded it to our local card shop for a platinum angel.

$10Windswept Heath was also a card I was lucky to receive in a pack.

$3Caged Sun, a friend gave this card along with the $6Hero's Downfall and $6Sylvan Caryatid, so I didn't have to purchase any of those.

$5Leyline of Anticipation, simply a card I felt had to be in this deck to make it take a step in the more than pure casual direction.

$2Prophet of Kruphix, this is by far my favorite card in magic and so I spent the extra money to get the foil premium version.

So that is about $40 dollars worth of cards, and most could be substituted out (keep Leyline of Anticipation and Prophet of Kruphix) to make this deck a lot cheaper on the front cost.

This is my Damia ramp deck. Its like a train, once it gets going, it doesn't stop.

So because I am only running around 20 lands, this deck requires a more persistent starting hand. You should mulli everything in your hand except for land, and hopefully your group is doing friendly mullis, so you are able to mulligan up to up to 28 cards looking for MINIMUM 2 land. The reason: you can start ramping with the 2 land. Try to keep the 2 drop rampers in your hand, but mulli them for land if you don't have them.

SAVE THE Prophet of Kruphix AT ALL COSTS. She is your win condition, she is your leader to the promise land, she is your goddess. If you have to sac a creature, sac Damia, Sage of Stone before you sac Prophet of Kruphix. The only time you should let her die, is if the only other option is losing, or her being exiled. You have graveyard play, Havengul Lich, Victimize, Life/Death, etc. Its not the end of the world for her to die if you have cards to bring her back. But watch out for exiles. It makes it a lot harder to win without her.

This leads to the main problem with this deck as well as every deck I post in the future. I don't know how to win. I play to lengthen the game, control the stronger decks, help the weaker ones. I want to just play my whole deck. That is where the fun in magic is for me. So help with wincons is always welcome.

The main win condition in this deck is the Consuming Aberration and casting spells all the time with Prophet of Kruphix and Leyline of Anticipation.

Second main win condition, is using Prophet of Kruphix with the Temporal Adept and Time Elemental to send everything back to everybody's hand.

This deck is still a work in progress, and I'm looking for any and all help that I can get, additions to the deck, suggestions for the deck, or simply a plus 1 so I know I am on the right track would be perfect.
