BUG deck featuring Damia, Sage of Stone for $80-limit Budget Commander (aka Lt. Commander.)

This deck is designed for my EDH group which prefers a fun and casual game environment that is free of infinite combos and sudden ends to games. We are also budget-conscious, so the deck is lacking the usual smattering of $100 dual lands and numerous other extremely expensive old artifacts. With that in mind, I set out to make a BUG control deck that eventually ramps into fatties and big sweepers.

Damia can be built a number of ways. A popular approach is to utilize lots of CMC 3 or less creatures, spells, and artifacts so as to empty your hand fast each turn and get lots of draw from Damia. For me however, when I see BUG colors, I can't help but play some of the biggest, funnest, and most broken fatties out there. In order to get decent draw from Damia however (so that she isn't a 4/4 deathtouch that you just paid 7 for), I included a lot of ramp. The idea is that you can get to a point where you can play multiple lands and a few fatties each turn to eventually draw yourself into a hand containing the best control spells that then allow you to go for the late-game win.

For fun, I included a bunch of the better gorgon creatures (and planeswalker!) that are out there. I always like adding a lit bit of commander-themed flavor to my commander decks.
