I'd considered Searing Blood for just that reason, although the conditional nature of the 3 burn damage worries me in late game play (then again, if Satyr Firedancer is out, it means I can kill a x/2 and an x/3 (but not a x/5). (Of course, with the 'dancer, Chandra's Outrage can take down an x/6).
Thanks for the suggestion. =)

I see a couple of problems here but not to bad tho. First I would take out the 4x [Bolt of Keranos] If you are playing allot of control decks the last thing you would want to do is spend 3 mana on your turn just to do 3 damage to your opponent. I would add the 4x [ Young Pyromancer] in there place b/c for every instant spell you play you get to drop a elemental creature. I do agree I would play the [Searing Blood] instead of the [Chandra's outrage] do to the mana cost. Maybe look into droping down to like 22 land and maybe adding a [Mutavault] can help against control decks bc they cant counter it and they hate it lol ! Last thing your sideboard I would take out the [Lava Axe] it's a horrible card I would replace em with 4x [Mindsparker] for them control decks or any mono blue or white which you will come across also look into [Ash Zealot] , [Boros Reckoner] and [Burning Earth] !!

Jchaney87:
Lava Axe is normaly a horrible card (as it can't target creatures), but with the Satyr Firedancer it gives a shot to the dome, as well as burning one of their creatures (if they have any).
I was a bit unsure about Bolt of Keranos for exactly that reason of speed - mostly I figured that the scry effect outweighed the sorcery-speed, but I'm very happy to be convinced otherwise - maybe subbing that out for the Searing Blood ?
I'd love to have a Mutavault , but it goes out of my price range, unfortunately. Maybe if I could build it into a Modern Deck, I could double-use it, but for a card that will be irrelevant in Standard in six months, the value just isn't there. :(

Also, take Lava Axe out of the sideboard and swap a Flame-Wreathed Pheonix for a Chandra's Pheonix.

Don't ever forget to use Searing Blood . You have a removal spell and a burn spell for 2 mana, and if you have a Firedancer out, it's TWO removal spells! Magma Spray is killer removal, as is Anger of the Gods , though Anger I'd say sideboard since if you a creature-heavy run it could hurt you just as easily. Purphoros, God of the Forge is a burn spell when you cast a creature every time, and you have so many ways to get the Phoenix back, there's no reason to not use it. All of these cards are beneath 5 dollars copy.
Way to change it...
-4 Chandra's Outrage +4 Searing Blood
-4 Bolt of Keranos +4 Magma Spray
-2 Volcanic Geyser +2 Purphoros, God of the Forge
-1 Flame-Wreathed Phoenix, -1 Prophetic Flamespeaker +2 Chandra's Phoenix (to maximize returnable creatures and minimize mana cost. You also have no way to pump the Flamespeaker to get him to do damage to a player via trample or unblockable...)
The changes I suggested will drop your curve to about... Oh, 2.1 CMC average, I'd guess. That's much more tenable for a burn deck.

I'd actually keep Bolt over Magma because Spray can't target players.

Good point, though I'd counter that with a lower CMC, the exile effect so leave the battlefield triggers don't trigger (a'la Voice of Resurgence), and instant speed. Perks on both sides, really.

LTB triggers don't happen on exiles? I thought the advantage of exile was getting at indestructibles (and no from the graveyard effects). Interesting. =)

Usually they say "When X dies" or "When X enters the graveyard"

Oh, and I made the changes I suggested, and the deck checked in at 2.11 CMC average, like I thought. Dance in the Gutter and Watch the World Burn copy
Oh, and to clarify- the phrasing says, "If a creature dealt damage this way would die, exile it instead"... so it doesn't work on Indestructible stuff... but Voice of Resurgence, anything that says "When this creature dies, do whatever".... because they skip the die part and go right to exile.
Deicide and Curse of the Swine are some of the best ways to deal with gods right now.

Magma Spray doesn't get around indestructibility though because it says if it would die, which an indestructible creature wouldn't.

Brilliant. Thank you both.
And yes, I knew that it would get around 'dies' abilities. Just your wording had me a bit confused as I didn't think it would do anything for a phrasing like, say Thragtusk (not that he's standard legal). Good to know I wasn't completely confused.

Know what else? If you do enough damage, Worldspine Wurm dies to Magma Spray, permanently. :-D

Upvote for Aggro-Burn. I used to play something like this with goblins many years ago and it's still one of my favourite deck-concepts.
I understand that your building on a budget, but I think Stormbreath Dragon is too good for mono R not to play it.
Since your playing Prophetic Flamespeaker and scry is always helpful, I suggest Titan's Strength . Also: Spite of Mogis .
I would suggest the following:
- in: 2x Stormbreath Dragon
- in: 3x Titan's Strength
- in: 4x Spite of Mogis
- in: 1x Prophetic Flamespeaker
in: 1x Mountain
out: 4x Bolt of Keranos
- out: 2x Flurry of Horns
- out: 2x Dictate of the Twin Gods
- out: 1x Flame-Wreathed Phoenix
- out: 2x Chandra's Phoenix
Possible sideboard option instead of Lava Axe : Fated Conflagration ?
What do you think about this (not-so-budget) changes?

I would switch out (or replace 2 of) Chandra's Outrage with Searing Blood . It's cheaper, does generally the same thing, and fits with your curve better. Of course, 4 damage takes out a lot of creatures. Situational, I suppose.
