May I recommend Clock of Omens? It's one of your best cards for making mana or killing people with Myr Turbine

Nice suggestion, many thanks. I'd forgot that artifact. Any further advise regarding cuts?

Jeweled Amulet and Word of Seizing seem underpowered in comparison to other cards you have. I'd consider cutting them.

Also Mind Stone is a good card, does ramp, card draw, and can Trash for Treasure easily.

Thank you for your reply, your right actually - Having checked through once more Jeweled Amulet definitely did seemed quite lack luster.

One reason Word of Seizing was include was because we have a player in our local play group who runs a Bruna enchantment deck. Unfortunately because I'm often playing combo or trying to explode out of the game, I become enemy No. #1 very quickly. Previously Chaos warp did a nice job of just ending his game plans but I can no longer tuck commands and need to think of potential answers. Are there any that are better then this for Mono Red?

They'd need a bigger flyer then a 5/5 to remove it though, so perhaps wasn't as good an idea as I'd thought. Can you think of anything else spot removal wise?

Unstable Obelisk This seems good now I think of it

Normally Spine of Ish Sah is what I would use. Or something like Oblivion Stone just to get the scare tactics going.

Thanks for the suggestion, not so sure about this one because by the time I can fate counter Bruna - There's a good chance I'd be dead next turn. Really struggling with cuts though, there are just so many options....Cutting an entire 17 cards is extremely difficult. Any further thoughts on this?

In the forum post, you mention not wanting to destroy lands unduely, which made me think that maybe you could focus on enabling infinite combos which allow you to win on the spot, rather than destroying other player's stuff for a drawn out finish. Maybe simply focus on infinite mana combos with simple Fireball-like effects for wincons? That'd skew the deck towards a single winning strategy, and one which could hardly be grudged by anyone.

In general, if the pillowfort element (Crawlspace, Ensnaring Bridge, Silent Arbiter, Defense Grid) isn't absolutely necessary for your survival, I'd consider cutting from that end. At least in the degree that the cards which make combat in general clunky should maybe go: making all attacking sluggish sucks, and it's usually way easier to stay below the radar if pillowfort effects simply protect you, rather than poo on everyone's attacks.

I'll just finish with a dump-list of stuff I'd consider for removal: Deal Broker (underpowered), Jaya Ballard (do you really have that many spare cards?), Purphoros (can you exploit him enough?), Silent Arbiter (protects everyone from attacks, not just you), Starstorm (replace with something that can kill players?), Chain Reaction (see Starstorm note), Jokuhaups (slows down everyone, see Starstorm note), Mycosynth Wellspring (it's not bad, but is it good enough?), Mangara's Tome (a bit clunky), Ensnaring Bridge (again, protects everyone), Anvil of Bogardan (helps everyone, not just you), Alhammaret's Archive (you don't really gain life, and I'm not sure you draw enough cards either to benefit fully from this, maybe try Bottled Cloister instead?). You might be able to drop a few lands as well, though I'm not entirely sure of that.

Hope this helped. I've got a Bosh-deck with a lot of overlap with this one, I'll see if I can up it here soon to compare notes.

@TheBawzz: I'm having sort of the same problem with my own deck. There are so many potential combos with this commander that making choices becomes difficult. Especially because every time I see another Daretti deck there's one I haven't noticed before.

Anyway, I also have a friend who has a Bruna deck. The combo I've used to answer it requires quite a few cards, but it is possible in this decklist and will effectively end the game.

You need Nevinyrral's Disk, Mycosynth Lattice, Darksteel Forge and Unwinding Clock. You want these things out anyway, so it's likely some will already be on the field when you need them. Kuldotha Forgemaster really helps here if you have a way to untap it, and if you have the lattice out you can sac literally anything on your field to it. Once you've got this stuff out? Just blow the board at the beginning of every upkeep and nobody else gets permanents (including Bruna).

Hard to pull off? Yeah, but I've actually managed to set this off in response to a would-be-lethal Bruna attack with only one of the combo pieces on the field. It is pretty awesome.

Or you could just Tormod's Crypt the Bruna player's graveyard. Not as awesome, but less likely to result in flipped tables.

Wayfarer's Bauble Vs Expedition Map...Thoughts? One Land Ramps the other finds Artifact lands,

I feel like you have more than enough non-basic lands to justify using the Map instead. At worst, it's a bit slower than the Bauble, but not by much if you use it right.

Yeah I think that makes quite a bit of sense, the artifact lands are great sac targets later in the game too and it also finds Maze of Ith too. (We've got a Bruna player in our group)
