Never even knew Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle was a card, nor have I reanimated Solemn Simulacrum very much and I usually run into problems with my mana. Thanks for the help, I'll update when I've added that land

My acquire board has Akroma, Angel of Fury and Urabrask the Hidden, those are the two from earlier I mentioned and want to add

FatherLiir thanks for the Solemn Simulacrum suggestion, I've played this deck twice and drawn him both times, gotten him out using Feldon of the Third Path and eventually getting him on the battlefield with Daretti, Scrap Savant after having his emblem out. And this deck was able to do so much more with all the lands out!

How do you guys think Avatar of Slaughter would work in my deck? Probably more like a reanimation target for Feldon of the Third Path, rather then actually keeping him on the board to help my opponents?

I'm using Balefire Dragon for more utility damage, Utvara Hellkite for tokens if I reanimate it so it still leaves a 6/6 behind, It That Betrays because why not, Hoarding Dragon to basically fetch up artifacts, Spawn of Thraxes for the damages. Few other things but don't have it on hand right now. Kind of went all in on fat creatures and it works okay so far. Gets shut down by graveyard hate mostly though. Didn't think about Avatar of Slaughter. Might try that out.

Had not thought of Spawn of Thraxes for this deck yet. This sound pretty good, I'll check it out.

So I see you said that you use Feldon as a 1v1 commander, but why Daretti as a multiplayer commander? Tbh, Feldon is the better of the two for both scenarios. There are some things that I would really suggest you try and get, and some base mechanics to work in the deck.
First thing, you have alot of artifact type abilities as you should, but you may consider making feldon an artifact as well with abilities like Ashnod's Transmogrant/Liquidmetal coating/Silverskin Armor. When you make feldon an artifact, you get alot of amazing things you can combo that with. Unwinding Clock is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to it. One of my favorite things is Dross Scorpion. If you have something that digs, Rummaging Goblin/Solemn Simulacrum for starters, you can combo that together to untap feldon, get another use out of both abilities, and gain some card advantage. However the other main use of the UC, is Thundermare/Shrieking Mogg. The ability to say no on each combat is amazing to have. The best part too is the politics involved in such a move. Opponent "A" is swinging at Opponent "B" who goes infinite next turn, however if he loses this turn, you have the chance to take the game. So you wait until "A" swings, and when "A" passes priority, you activate Feldon, summoning either TM or SM, to tap down all of "B's" creatures, leaving him defenseless. In 1v1, the creatures just act like a fog every turn.
Something else to consider is having creatures in not only for big beat sticks, but removal as well. Tyrant of Discord is an amazing thing in EDH. It gets rid of so much its not even, especially when its on a stick.
Now more to the original point, you lack one very important thing in any "reanimator" type strategy, which Feldon is. Getting cards into your grave. You have no looting capabilities. Again, something as simple as Rummaging Goblin can be huge. Other things to consider are Tormenting Voice/Wild Guess/Burning Inquiry. These act very well with getting things into the graveyard early on.
Another combo you can run too uses Synod Sanctum/Sundial of the Infinite and "Theft" abilities. Things like Zealous Conscripts/Conquering Manticore/Molten Primordial with these, or even a sac engine like Goblin Bombardment/Trading Post works really well in not only disrupting your opponents board states, but possibly crippling them to the point of scooping. However something is always fun is Insurrection + Sundial of the Infinite .
anyway those are my thoughts. I love my feldon deck more than anything, and I have not put it up on the site yet as I am still tweaking it. Needless to say, you need some more card draw, and a way to "loot" to play feldon correctly. And like I stated before, Feldon>Daretti hands down. If not for D's +2 ability to discard and then draw, he would actually be cut from my list already.

Tingettley while I agree feldon is better in some ways he's significantly weaker in multiplayer games with 3-5 other players. Firstly because there's a higher amount of creature removal. Secondly higher chance of graveyard hate. Daretti is significantly better for combo strategies such as hellkite tyrant or vandalblast blowouts. Not sure if you've just seen weak daretti decks or what but he's ridiculous lol

I use Daretti in Multiplayer because my playgroup usually has high difficulty removing him, as I won't play him until he's protected, and his emblem allows for quite a bit of artifacts in my deck to really mess with people, such as Wurmcoil Engine, to spawn a ton of little 3/3 deathtouch/lifelinks, and still swing with a larger one. Also, Pentavus with that emblem is good for 12 damage and 5 mana a turn, to everyone, when using Purphoros, God of the Forge on the field. Playgroup doesn't play much with graveyard hate, there is literally one card, Tormod's Crypt that does that, but she never really plays it at the correct time.

I'm going to find a place to put Tibalt in as soon as I can get my hands on an Ob Nixilis of the Black Oath and put Ob nix in my Rakdos deck, then find a place for tibalt

just thought id point something out. Sundial of the Infinite doesnt skip your end phase. it just makes it happen sooner. so all cards that say "until end of turn" still go away after you use the dial. just wanted to make sure that was clear before someone plays Act of Treason and sundial and claims they keep the creature permanently.
March 30, 2015 12:01 a.m.
sorry i mispoke. i meant to say until end of turn effects dont work with it. end step is skipped. thats why act of treason wont work. realized i said it completely wrong the first time.

Aholer7- You are actually wrong when it comes to the Sundial of the Infinite. What happens is that you wait until your end phase, and the abilities go on the stack, abilities like Molten Primordial/Act of Treason/Feldon of the Third Path(Or my personal favorite Final Fortune + Isochron Scepter ), and when they go on the stack, you activate the Sundial, which automatically ends the turn, exiling the stack. It is the same thing as Time Stop, but only on your turn.
As back on comment for removal on Feldon, is it single target hate in your group or mass wipe? Either way, I suggest just running Darksteel Plate/Shield of Kaldra against mass wipe and for single target hate, Swiftfoot Boots/Lightning Greaves.
March 30, 2015 1:44 p.m.
thats true if you wait until the end phase to do that. i was mostly reffering to when its used at other times, like in response to spells that you would rather not want to go off. or during your upkeep to mitigate effects of cards like Smokestack, but now that i look at your deck more closely i notice you dont really have any of those types of cards.
March 30, 2015 2:16 p.m.
actually act of treason still doesnt work in that case either. feldon does though. act of treason says until end of turn. sundail of the infinite specifically says " 'until end of turn' effects end"

You are correct. My mistake. Still though, just use Synod Sanctum to perms steal
March 30, 2015 3:11 p.m.
Tingettley, it's not so much of the hate on Feldon as it is his abilities aren't as good in a multi setting as it could be. I probably just don't use him that well, to be honest.

Lol. That and the size of your play group. If you play 5+ he does become harder to use. But again, it's just using him to his best. I'll eventually post my Feldon deck on here and you can see what I'm working with.
My buddy has a Muzzio deck, and he has yet to beat me against it, even in 4p games lol

Landwise, I would take out a single mountain and replace it Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle, also Solemn Simulacrum is an excellent reanimation target just for the land and card draw every turn.
