So at the minute, main decking Fulminator Mage to recur off Sun Titan and Kolaghan's Command and Goblin Dark Dwellers to Flickerwhisp the instants.

Sideboard/maybe questions. Main deck Liliana (if budget weren't a problem!...). Main deck Merciless Executioner?... Main deck Boom/Bust and a Damnation or Day of Judgment? More hand control?

Glad you love Goblin Dark-Dwellers too. I made a whole deck series with that card :)

at a glance, you aren't going to be able to proc emeria reliably enough. im only counting 5 real plains in deck? (might be off slightly, rushed at work). So I would move further away from the Titan control shell, imo

I like the idea of Sin Prodder and Merciless Executioner mainboarded.

Id splash just enough white for Sun Titan (as more of a curve topper than combo centerpiece) and integrate Heartless Summoning back in.

If HS comes back in, Restoration Angel over Flickerwisp? less solid white and has a bigger booty. Funny as a 2 drop for sure

Hey Bababad yeah about 8 at the moment. Just quickly through the mana base together.

If you go heartless, then you probably need to go down the Slum Reaper or Shriekmaw route. Merciless Executioner dies before sac. Other problem if you go back to the heartless build is lack of 3cmc perms for the Titan. Did consider it as a curve topper though. And there's always Fulminator Mage to recur.

Recurring a Sin Prodder late game just means burn/card advantage your way to victory. with evasive damage to boot.

Sun Titan into Flickerwisp into Sin Prodder.

If you can get your plains count up this could work splendidly.

And I can definitely see not wanting to go back to HS atm.

Executioner's Capsule

is a cute thing to recur with Sun Titan if you have the colors.

i feel like the Pilgrim's Eye would better serve as a 4th Wall of Omens and 2 more bolts. with 24 land and 4 walls, you should hit most of your land drops so that you can cast Sun Titan on time. the bolts because its just great to have the ability to drop most creatures or hit face for 3. also i think personally the Terminate should become your 4th Path to Exile as path feels better in the fact that its cheaper and can get around certain on death triggers.
also you have 3 IoK which are good cards. another personal thing is that i think you need either a 4th and two more discard spells such as Thoughtseize/Raven's Crime or you should cut them for 2 Damnation/Day of Judgments + 1 more k-mand. if you do add the discard, you may want to find room for another k-man anyways as the discard option gets much better if they only have 1 card to choose from.+1 from me and i hope my suggestions help.also if you take some of my suggestions, you may need to tweak the mana base to accommodate them. most of my first half of suggestions was white heavy, my second half was black heavy sort of. good luck.

I really like what you have going in this deck. I have three suggestions.

I would cut the Goblin Dark-Dwellers for Merciless Executioner because you can't use Sun Titan on your Goblin Dark-Dwellers.

You should definitely should have wraths in the sideboard and probably mainboard as well.

The mana base needs more Plains or at least more shock lands with plains written on them. No point having Pilgrim's Eye if you are going to cut it that close with Emeria, The Sky Ruin. Alternatively, cut Pilgrim's Eye for wraths and replace Emeria, The Sky Ruin with something else.

Hey Bababad, ModernMage, aholder7. Thanks for all the feedback. Had some time to refine it. So now 11 plains to target. Merciless Executioner mainboarded. iOK dropped for wraths. Vs non creature deck Sin Collector comes in for executioner and Thoughtseize for the wraths. Firewalker for Spellskite in the sideboard.

Maybe another wrath in the sideboard?

Knight of the White Orchid maybe?

Wrath of God is strictly better than Day of Judgment when you don't regenerate.

Hey SilverIronMan Good point. for some reason I thought it wasn't modern playable!

Bababad says... #12

How often can you proc Emeria in the current build?

Since there are only 3 basic plains, there might be a better use for the pilgrim's eye slots if you can't move the mana around.

Perilous Myr or Vampire Nighthawk

Spring to mind for utility.

Hey Bababad. Need to test it. Most Emeria Titan builds seem to run 10-11 plains So we should be there or thereabouts. May need a few more basic plains.

Replace Merciless Executioner with Fleshbag Marauder. Yes I know that they are the exact same except for one small detail. Fleshbag is a zombie and as little as you will see it Victim of Night is still a viable card in modern and it can't hit fleshbag.

wasianpower says... #15

I tested it against my deck, Simply enchanting, and it lost badly. You need more ways to apply pressure, if not in the main then in the side. You should also consider moving the Thoughtseizes to the MB otherwise you may not stand a chance against combo decks.

Hey GreenGhost good shout. Hey wasianpower thanks for testing.

Just played this against naya burn. Bolts and walls did a really good job of having you not die, and I just couldn't get enough damage in before a titan came down. I like fleshbag as it helps to fuel the titan plan, is mega disruptive, and a decent beater on its own. I feel like this is just as good as the UW version of this deck.

Hey DevoidMage really appreciate you playtesting it. Have you got a link to your Naya Burn list out of curiosity. Yeah, GreenGhost made a good shout on Fleshbag Marauder. Shout if you've got any sideboard suggestions. I'm thinking of adding in a few Fulminator Mages to side in. Maybe a few Kataki, War's Wage for affinity and all the ensnaring bridge type prison decks.

Also, was thinking of swapping out the swamp for urborg for the synergy with Ghost Quarter. Maybe should retain the basic for Blood Moon though.

Servo_Token says... #20

The list is just your typical top 8 list + wild nacatl, 2 lightning helix main, 0 skullcrack.

I don't think you need crumble side, fulminator is just better and works well with your strategy. Maybe something like an Ember Hauler or Mogg Fanatic to help sweep up little dudes?

April 28, 2016 3:15 p.m.

Draw_Wurm says... #21

DevoidMage, yeah, probably needs a sweeper. Minister of Pain maybe? Need to have a think about other ETB cards.

I like Stony Silence over kitaki but I can see using home because you can recur it with a Titan.

Titan can recur both
