Thank you for the suggestions King_marchesa, I had forgotten about those cards! I wish Liliana's Devotee was a zombie himself...I can see the Devotee in a different zombie deck which focuses on sacrifice effects. But Tymaret Calls the Dead seems like a great way to mill myself, and the eventual lifegain may come in handy. Maybe I can squeeze a couple in.

Hi. First i like the deck idea a Lot. Great Stuff. Thanks for this. Few days ago i also had the Idea to build around Narfi because i love Zombies. And this is the First deck i see with this Theme. Like it.
Do you think there is a Chance for the Rise of the Dread Marn Thought? WE got Witch Vengeance, Extincion Event and Now Crippling Fear and your mentioned Blood on the Snow.. Like to Raise the Zombies and next Turn Attack an nearly empty Board with narfi buffed Zombies. And maybe a Counter or Removal in My Hand. Or is this an unrealistic Scenario.?

Edit..CardRules.. Other Snow Zombies will get just +1/+1. So Faceless Haven will become a 4/5..its Not cumulative even it's Snow AND Zombie

Thanks for your comments TonyRik! Glad you like the deck! It’s nice to hear from a fellow zombie aficionado.
You are right that we have lots of great mass removal options now, including Witch's Vengeance, Extinction Event, Crippling Fear, Blood on the Snow...etc. Rise of the Dread Marn is a great option to take advantage of mass removal because it can be foretold and cast later as an instant for only 1 mana. I think Rise would work well on the sideboard, so it can be brought in as a soft-counter against other decks running removal, or against creature-heavy decks, since it creates zombies when any creature dies, not just my own.
And thanks for clarifying that snow zombies only get buffed once by Narfi, that makes sense. I’ll fix the description.

I would Recommend 1 or 2 (or more if you want) Zagoth Triome's, it enables you to cast Jorn, God of Winter Flip along with drawing you a card for 3 mana if you need to draw something and get out combo pieces or creatures.

Thanks for the suggestion meME12! When I first conceived of this deck, I considered going the sultai direction by throwing in a couple Zagoth Triomes and a single Snow-Covered Forest to fetch with Fabled Passage. Having access to green mana allows for hard casting Jorn, God of Winter Flip and enchantment/artifact removal on the sideboard like Return to Nature or Wilt. I’m not sure if three colors are consistent enough tho. I will keep running simulations to see if it’s viable.

Yeah Zombies for Life..aehm..death.. Like Your deck and the building Prozess.thanks
I will Run similiar Versions and Test..test.. Test.. Looks cool to me.. I will try out More Control with More Blue protection Stuff with Things like miscast, anull etc Supported by Karfell Harbinger and Dread Marn with the Wraths.. and opposite aggro with Grim Physician, Grim Draugr.. More Black Mana..
So But If you're running More Green and Go the Sultai Version .. How about Polukranos Unchained? Zombie and Escape.. Perfect fit for this Version..? Or too much?

Noice, sounds like it'll be a lot of work but it'll pay off, tomorrow on MTG Arena I am going to try to win some games and also hopefully purchase some cards in order to make my fun deck Niko's Back on Theros! (kind of) a reality. This deck is not great yet but it has the potential to be.

Sounds like fun TonyRik, we have a lot of zombies to play around with this cycle! Thanks for suggesting Polukranos, Unchained, I’ve considered running 1 or 2, but I’m not sure if the mana base can support it. I’ll keep fiddling with it.
meME12, hope your games on Arena go well, your deck looks interesting!

Any updates on this? Success? Changes?
Does anyone know how to unlock Narfi's showcase frame?
January 29, 2021 12:20 a.m.
Based on My Personal experience i would Cut 2 Demonic Embrace (Very situational and expensive) and maybe 1 Draugr Necromant for Mass removal and Enchanment Hate :) Tymaret works and looks like the perfect fit But didn't have the Impact i Thought.. Don't know Yet..sometimes all Feels little to slow or important answers are Missed..and Egon dies fast..need protection? But i didnt Made many games. What are your Thoughts ?

Hey SultaivsAbzan, I haven’t had the opportunity to test this out in actual matches yet, but if you or anyone else has any experience, I would be happy to hear about it! I’m not sure what you mean about unlocking Narfi’s showcase frame tho. If you want to use it on T/O, you can select it as an alternative version (KHM:329).
Thanks for the suggestions TonyRik, I took your advice and dropped the Demonic Embrace s for now, I’ve won games with it in the past, but you are right that it is expensive and often slow. I added Crippling Fear to the mainboard, to take advantage of the zombie creature type (Egon also survives, which is nice). If enchantments are a big issue, I would bring in the remaining 2 Feed the Swarm and the 4 Wilt on the sideboard.

Solid deck! Any thought toward Rise of the Dread Marn ? Makes for a good recovery after sweepers, even your own sweeper! If nothing else I'd have it as a sideboard option, maybe. Lurrus is also a thought with the recursion, but he's not a zombie and not doing his best work in this deck. Archfiend's Vessel really feels like it belongs here despite not being a zombie. Milling that and bringing it back with any kind of recursion is just so strong.
I've found three-color to be consistent in Standard with the pathways, but you're in snow and only splashing green. I think the Fabled Passages are perfect for that and your mana base is pretty good as-is.

Cool deck! As a noob, i was wondering about the rule that states that only one legendary creature of the same name may be in play on your side of the battlefield. Considering the amount of copies of Narfin and Egon, how does this deck handle that limit?

TheVileClavicus Egon can be played on the other side if there's already one on the battlefield and Narfi is only a three-of, a pretty safe number for legendaries. If a card is key to your deck though, you should have four of it no matter if it's legendary or not. Sometimes you'll have a dead draw, but sometimes your opponent will kill one or you'll never draw them etc.

Liliana's Devotee is a good zombie lord. Additionally, Tymaret Calls the Dead seems pretty good here.
