Thank you for your feedback and suggestions. I'll make sure to try and make some trades for them next time I'm at my LGS and do some testing. The only thing is I already have a large amount of removal and it might make him not relevant. Bile Blight takes care of all unmorphed and manifested cards that are face down by naming either Morph or Manifested. I see where he can be very reliable and it'd allow me to either play more creatures or a more variety of spells since I'd act as board wipe.

Thanks Kazahad! Any suggestions or you like it just as is?

I'm curious what you are concerned about hitting with [Glare of Heresy] that other removal won't hit?

I'm not sure. It was a popular Sideboard choice before. I'm open for better suggestions if you got them though.

Silkwrap can hit a boatload of threats:
and much more.

6tennis do you suggest that to replace Glare of Heresy or just for something in hte mainboard?
March 31, 2015 9:30 p.m.
I believe he means the Glares. I agree with tennis Though, defiantly hits lots of fun stuff.

Suspension Field hits more targets than Silkwrap, though I'm wondering no one uses it.

Ahh nevermind, Silkwrap hits threats Suspension Field can't.

Sick deck. +1, those Seeker of the Way do work!
played it against my Through the forest and flames [HELP} deck and it definitely made me hate removal. I found it got a little mana heavy though, I got mana screwed on a few occasions, could be just the statistics but could look into dropping the curve a bit... i would move some Ultimate Price from your maybe board to at least your side board if not in to help drop the curve a little

I am a noob at this, but why are fetchlands any good?

Fetchlands allow you to color fix, you can grab shocklands with them, and they thin your deck of lands thus making your draws better.
April 30, 2015 10:11 p.m.
They can fetch 2 different types of lands.
They can also fetch shocklands that are out of their color.
They can help you thin your library.
They can also help you shuffle your library.

Exactly what these kind users have said. I don't have anything else to add on other then maybe the interaction with Courser of Kruphix. The life loss is pretty much ignored assuming you play the fetch land after Courser is out.

As somewhat of a "Mardu" fan and control player of sorts, I feel that you lack the 1 thing control players want, card advantage. You can't call this a midrange deck game 1. This can certainly turn into a midrange deck post board. But I feel like you have 2 unnecessary cards in the main. Drown in Sorrow amd Ugin, the Spirit Dragon. Drown game 1 is only good against maybe 2 decks in the meta out of a crap ton of different decks. You just want to eliminate the dead cards from your hand game 1. I would say drop the 1 Drown. Ugin because you can't really expect to successfully cast him every game with only 25 lands and no card advantage spells. And you don't really need him because you run so many low drop permanents (Sorin, Thunderbreak, etc...). Read the Bones is something to consider in here As a minimum of a 2 of.

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned it, but have you ever thought about replacing Thunderbreak Regent for monastery mentor?
May 25, 2015 4:46 p.m.
I'd cut 1 blight (or more) for a Stormbreath Dragon or another Sarkhan. drown and ugin for Read the Bones as Taco said seems like a good idea. Thoughtseize is best at 4, and Bile Blight is the best cutting candidate.

I would add Monastery Mentor over some stuff, for more tokens

-1 Palace Siege, -1 Utter End (all SB) and add 2 Outpost Siege. I'm high on both of the former cards but after reading some of the earlier posts it seems like card advantage from Outpost Siege would fit nicely in this deck, choosing Khans of course.

What synergy does Kothophed actually provide for you? I understand that the card advantage is nice but at turn 6, it might not bode well for you if it dings you for 1 life per permanent. I just see it contradicting Elspeth. If I saw this play I would sweep the tokens you produce with Elspeth will Bile or Drown just to ping you for 3 life. I like that you are trying to revive the "Dega" hub also lol. Must have been playing MTG for a while now. +1
Please take a look at my Mardu midrange: http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/queen-kolaghans-aerial-assault/
I am torn between Butcher and Thunderbreak. I've playtested and I dont usually have an issue but I think it is to caught up on 4 CMC creatures (also counting a possible T4 Sorin)

Ideally when Kothophed, Soul Hoarder Hits the table the game would either be closer to being finished or is in a stalemate state and with some nice top decks can get the engine going, even if it costs life. I have a good amount of lifegain between Seeker of the Way Prowess trigger and Sorin, Solemn Visitor Field wide buff and lifegain giving.
If my phone was able to copy paste reliably I'd look at your deck but I'm not gonna retype it, sorry. If you run even any other dragons in your deck I'd reconmend Thunderbreak Regent because his damage adds up. It makes them make though choices. Do they use their removal on the threat like Stormbreath Dragon or get rid of reliable damage like Thunderbreak Regent. If you drop 2 together on the field it gets nasty. I'd still maybe run Butcher of the Horde as a 2x or 3x If you had fuel to make him run other abilites. Otherwise I wouldn't bother with him at all unless you were running a token heavy deck or one that benefits from creatures dieing. Maybe good with the new Liliana flipwalker.

There's only one change I Would make. I would drop a Thoughtseize and 2 x -Stormbreath Dragon for 3 x Archfiend of Depravity
Reason being: for equivalent mana you get a 5/4 flyer that wipes all but 2 creatures of your opponents board every end step. For me the overall trade-off is a win even when considering haste and protection From white. I've personally moved AoD into my deck and it has increased my wins in meta dramatically. There is alot of G/W Manifest and Aggro decks that just fall to pieces when Archfiend hits the board
