Celestial Mantle is fun to use with Battle Mastery , heh. Three Dreams can be really useful, and Winds of Rath will make for an excellent wipe.

Also, you might want to go Bant instead of Esper if you are going to change it when the new decks come out. Derevi, Empyrial Tactician could synergize with this deck a lot better in my opinion, though you could have Zur the Enchanter in Esper.

Oh, Gwafa Hazid, Profiteer might fit in a little with your theme?

I forgot about Three Dreams , i'll put that on my buy list, as well as Winds of Rath and Gwafa Hazid, Profiteer . Good solid cards the both of them.

Both esper and bant both has solid choices if it comes to that but for now i'll let the azorius run the show. Thank you!

You said stealing right? So where's Memnarch ? Also Beguiler of Wills might (keyword here) be helpful, and who can refuse a Blatant Thievery ? Debt of Loyalty could be funny. Empress Galina , Evangelize , Reins of Power , and Vedalken Shackles are all pretty amazing as well.

I also noticed that if you're going for the pillowfort idea you're missing Island Sanctuary , Angelic Arbiter , Blazing Archon , Chronomantic Escape , Cowed by Wisdom , Ensnaring Bridge , Vow of Flight , and Vow of Duty should help along those lines.

When Daxos came out, I had a mind to build around him. Got pretty upset when I realized that you can't play lands with him, and it kinda wrecked my motivation to move forward with it.

We had some similar ideas though. I liked the HateBear "Staxos" deck to help create ways to keep him unblocked. Blind Obedience , Meekstone , Kismet , etc. I don't know if you need redundancy, but it's there for the taking if you want it.

I also had an equipment theme I couldn't quite get right. Do you need more tutor power? Taj-Nar Swordsmith is a pet card I like a lot.

Also, because I'm curious- What's the Omniscience for?

i run Frozen AEther as opposed to Blind Obedience or Kismet because unlike Kismet, Frozen Aether extends to token production and land fetching that are not from the hand. Purely a meta call but when you have a fast Rhys deck you got to find a way to get through before it's too late (Which it usually becomes a turn after).

the Swordsmith is in my binder but i decided to run Stoneforge Mystic for the possibility that i can drop the equipment for cheeper. if i get through with Daxos i'd like to have at least 4-5 mana untapped so i can play my opponents spells that i may Exile.

The deck tends to play more in Main Phase 2 due to Daxos' ability. Omniscience is there for two reasons. 1) because i wanted a deck with a lower threat level to put it into so i can test it out. 2) To free up mana so that i can get through and play my opponents spells or save mana for abilities.

What about sword of feast and famine to untap lands for daxos?

Maybe Ghostly Prison or Propaganda for when you come up against aggro decks? I made a similar deck and voltron is definitely the way to go with Daxos, I also added some cards that give me the option to steal exactly the spells I want with Daxos, like Lapse of Certainty or Memory Lapse , feel free to have a look.

And +1 from me for a nice deck and a fellow Daxonian

@Maverick30 I do have SoFaF on my to buy list, thats next to go in, Thanks

@Beksl I did have both Ghostly Prison and Propaganda in my 1.0 list but it got cut for a more voltron and utility creature approach, might go back in if need be. As far as the Lapse's i need to pick up a few, Azorius Charm , Jace, the Mind Sculptor , Hinder and Lantern of Insight are the current ways beyond Doublestrike that allow me to check out or set up topdecks. I will have a look at your list good sir, Thanks!

I figured you played a lot of stuff in Main 2. In looking at this list and having not played against a Daxos deck yet, I'm having difficulty justifying anything in your deck over, say, 5 or 6 CMC. With 36 land and 5-6 mana rocks, having, casting, and keeping a resolved Omniscience on the board seems really suspect. Especially along side Jace TMS, Memorial, Swords, etc. It just sounds like a death wish to me.

If you're looking for space, and looking to try and smooth/tune the deck and keep it fun, I'd take out the 7-10 cost things. This deck is more about testing your ability to play other people's stuff. I don't know if anyone's mentioned it, but the obvious Unexpectedly Absent is another great card for this deck too if/when you can get your hands on one. Less expensive cards like it seem pretty okay too. Mystical Tutor does help you set up a well-timed Miracle like Vanishment . I also like AEthertow and Manamorphose , though the latter's a little risky.

Lowering the curve and adding more "removal" seems like it could help you a lot. Taking damage doesn't seem like a problem provided it isn't from a Commander in this deck because of the life gain, though if it does I have ideas for that too. I like these Instants for the deck. They fit your 'take stuff' theme as well as the ability to control what's on top of your opponent's library. And they're cheap budget options.

Sorry. Card is Metamorphose . Not Manamorphose .

Yea, i feel you there man, Omniscience is probably coming out unless i build more control without Stax or Pillowfort themes. Daxos getting in the Red Zone isn't an issue but Against my girls new Omnath deck and a friends new Oloro Deck i had absolutely no answers or pressure. I think i cast 6 spells that game... Definitely in need of revisions so i'll be looking at your suggestions and other decklists.

Nice deck! Archangel of Thune might be a good fit. I have him in mine Daxos of Hilarious to test it out and I've been pleasantly surprised. I only got him in hand one game, but by the time he got out I had Fireshrieker and Steel of the Godhead on Daxos, so I was adding 3-4 counters on Daxos with every swing. Granted that combo just begged for a board wipe, but it was fun for a few turns!

Umm, if you're looking to make a "lower power" deck then having Super Jace, All the Swords, and the best U/W Tutors might not be the way to go...

Besides having those it still has a lower potency than Animar or Karador. i guess my point wasn't being too lower on power level but being more accessible yet still challenging my friends to grow

Hmm, if I had to suggest cuts, my top two would be:

Godsend : This actually doesn't help you very much. Daxos or whichever creature you decide to attack with does not have any way to gain trample, so your damage won't go through if they block. The second part of the exile effect is essentially useless except against generals. It's also tied for most expensive equipment you have, costing 6 to play and then equip. Only Fireshrieker is that high. If you had cards that gave trample, like Loxodon Warhammer (which is another suggestion btw, downside is mana costs), then Godsend 's value starts to go up.

Godsend is also all about blocking/making your opponents block, but your deck is all about connecting with attackers and using prison effects/control to stay alive.

Minor note about Godsend : Since it is a white equipment, if you give the equipped creature pro-white, it falls off and cannot be equipped again until the protection is gone.

Michiko Konda, Truth Seeker : You already have a ton of prison effects, and this one seems expensive to me. If it was a 3 drop then I wouldn't be saying this, but your 4-drop range is already taken up by 12 other cards, all of which are more useful. Then again, it does say "source" and "damage" not "creature" or "combat damage"... I can't really say it's a bad card.

I have to agree with you. Unless you wanted to start changing what your deck does, it would be very hard to do much with replacing for more equipment/enchantments.

RedSeries, solid points all around. So lets say i take out Godsend for Batterskull trading a 3 for a 5, gaining +1/+1 vigil / lifelink over godsend and the color drawback, Ignoring the lifelink (because lets be honest, lifelink is lack luster in edh thats why True Conviction got the axe). The ability brings an additional creature plus is great for tutoring and staying around to block. Most of my equipment is very Sun titan friendly and while i enjoy that i think i might have to let godsend go in lue of obvious advantages Batterskull brings.

the argument for Michiko Konda, Truth Seeker is also valid, I Imagine that she is prime kill bait and also falls short of the Sun titan party mentioned earlier. My hopes are that she causes more of a control than Ghostly Prison or Propaganda bring.

Perhaps what i do is try taking out Ghostly Prison and put in a tutor spell, then take out Godsend for Batterskull and run the deck that way and looking for improvements.

There is always room for improvements and polishing the list is always tough, but i do appreciate the discussion. perhaps you have other insights or an EDH deck that i may share mine on?

ninnyz, thanks for the response, it's awesome to hear back on feedback I've given. Whether my points are solid or not, only make the change to the deck if you feel it will benefit you. There can be strong reasons to run Godsend and Michiko Konda, Truth Seeker over any suggestions I've made.

I can see Ghostly Prison and Propaganda being a bit overlap-y. I would agree with you that it would be helpful to try a tutor over one of them. As for the Godsend change, your mention of Sun Titan does bring up a good point that you can bring most of your equipment back with it.

I would also love to get feedback from you. Unfortunately, I do not have many decks, and the one real EDH deck I've posted on this site, my Derevi Control Combo, is really closer to a wishlist. However, if you have insight or suggestions for that, please post, I would love to have some feedback.

Sword of Body and Mind . Noticed this was the one sword your missing. Won't claim it's the best synergy, but protection from blue is nice plus the creation of a blocker with a hit is nice.

Also notable that doublestike procs the swords twice per swing, so provides a mill 20 in that condition which can create a strong back up win con if needed.

That's it, love the deck.

Have you considered Telepathy in the place of Future Sight ? Both give players some hint as to what the upcoming strategies might be based on the revealed cards. Future Sight makes all your draws known to all players (and possibly your exact hand to the savvy players) while allowing what is basically an 8 card hand, 1 card of which can't be discarded due to any effects. Telepathy , doesn't tip your hand as to what cards you might be holding, lets all players see who is about to draw into a big threat, and makes your choice of who to attack with Daxos a bit easier based on what you might be able to cast. The only big drawback I'd guess would be opponents targeting you with mill effects when no one else's draw seems intimidating...

Hmm I like how you think. I know i have one somewhere so ill play around with it and see how it goes. Thanks!

Oh, I see what you did there!!

Just realized what it was about Future Sight that seemed so appealing to me...

I don't think Telepathy was the right substitution for me to suggest (probably not even a good representation of what I was thinking). Instead I think Lantern of Insight is the way to go.
