Strategy:

• Pump + make Daxos unblockable (Aqueous Form, Brawler's Plate)

• Protect him w/ flyers + defenders

• Control board and counter important cards

• Stay alive (Daxos' ability, Prism Ring, Elixir of Immortality)

• Mill (Shriekgeist, Curse of the Bloody Tome, Chronic Flooding, Doorkeeper)

Regarding card selection: I purchased ~1000 commons/uncommons on the cheap to get into casual Magic, and Daxos was one of the several cheap rares thrown into the lot. Most of the cards were from Origins, Theros, Return to Ravnica, Gatecrash and a few other random sets. I'm willing to buy cheap singles for this deck in the future, but for now I'd like to work with what I own.

I don't own most of the cards on the maybeboard, these are just things I think would fit the deck. I'm especially interested in filling up the creature slots with flying defenders.

My playtests so far have revealed this suffers against aggro decks with a focus on Haste, Prowess and Heroic creatures. It's been a decent contender against slower decks and even similar control decks. Any suggestions on the deck or sideboard are welcome, but keep in mind I mostly have commons from the sets mentioned above.
