Daxos, The Return (of Auras)

Commander / EDH WB (Orzhov)

Congruity

Maybeboard

I've tried the stax Daxos variations and they don't work. While you succeed in slowing the game down, the CMC of the enchants ensures that you don't get enough experience counters to matter and daxos gets swept away in too much incidental removal as a bear.

To succeed with Daxos, you need three things: 1. Enough tall tokens with evasion 2. Enough cheap enchantments to cast to rack up XP as you push into the late game 3. Daxos to stay alive through all of this

My answer to all three is cheap auras. They can give the tokens evasion (flying, fear, shadow, protection from creatures), act as (semi)permanent removal, and protect/recur Daxos.
