This deck I thought up after the release of Journey into Nyx came out. It's a tempo/midrange deck built on developing a heroic presence then casting a suite of spells at my dudes before attacking for the win. It's a homebrew and I could use some suggestions

So I went to FNM last Friday and played this deck a whole slew of times, playing, sideboarding, playing and so on. After doing so I made these changes to help with the flow of the deck:

Cut the Vanguard of Brimaz for Phalanx Leader. The Leader made this deck very aggressive, pumping up my team members that don't have the +1/+1 ability like Tethmos High Priest, Battlefield Thaumaturge and Daxos of Meletis whilst accelerating Fabled Hero, Favored Hoplite and Battlewise Hoplite to much more dangerous power levels

Gods Willing for Annul/Swan Song. I quickly realized that I needed some countermagic in my sideboard to help stop things like Underworld Connections, Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Detention Sphere. Gods Willing was doing nothing for me so I pulled them for two of Swan Song and Annul. Now I realize you might think "by not just play Dissolve, it counters everything AND scrys for you?!" Now I thought about it but I needed a one mana counterspell so I can leave open mana for creatures and other spells and I occasionally have a harder time hitting double blue. I may add some more Islands if it continues to be an issue but it smoothed out with those in.
