Welcome to vampire's 101. I'm going to begin this with a statement about vampires.

Vampires are about one thing and one thing only. Greed. Every good vampire deck has one thing in common. You gain something while your opponents lose something. This is why I decided instead of going B/R I went B/W

We will start with what i originally had this deck doing. Mainly life gain. I tried numerous combinations, before I realized that vampires were the way to go for this, not only do they gain life, they steal it, or "leech" it. Vampire Nighthawk was my first real glimpse into this world and is a staple in all 3 of my vampire decks.

On the same page as him are Child of Night and Blood Seekerthe only non vampire in this deck is Suture Priest again with the theme, i gain someting you lose soemthing.

So now i've established a good beginning. I now needed a way to pump up my vampires to make them more formidable. the first thing i found was Captivating Vampire +1/+1 and i get to steal your stuff if i'm lucky enough to have 5 vamps out...

which brings me to Bloodline Keeper   not only does he/she pump my vamps when it flips, it also makes more vampires to add to my arsenal or to use as chump blockers and trigger captivating vamps ability

and last but not least was Vampire Nocturnus there were originally 2 in this deck, but being so conditional i put him down to 1 to make room for a 3rd bloodline keeper. Having +2/+1 and flying makes at lot of things in this deck far more formidable.

Now these are all things I had in this deck prier to dark ascension. so here came my new best friend replacing himself Sorin Markov had to step aside for Sorin, Lord of Innistrad Who does every single function of this deck. makes vamps (with lifelink), permanently pumps them, AND steals your shiz. I'm in love.

not to be discredited, Sorin Markov was and is still a great card and a great planeswalker but he pales in comparison for the specific needs of this deck.

Now I have a giant arsenal of vamps that steal, gain life, and various other tasks. AWESOME.

here comes the support. What does every black/white deck need? REMOVAL! Feast of Blood and Solemn Offering will sure do the trick, not only do they do standard removal, but they also gain me life! (note: Feast of Blood has been replaced with Go for the Throat)

Now with all this life gain I wanted to abuse my power. I came across this card ages ago, but it's still a killer, Sanguine Bond. did i mention something before about, I gain something you lose something? a lifelink creature paired with this card essentially has double strike. only more focused, regardless if Sanguine Bond is out, someone is getting hurt.

Now i wanted a conditional card for flavor. originally I paired sanguine bond with Sorin's Vengeance however that was not always a game winner. until recently i had forgotten about Blood Tribute which in all fairness is a million times better. It does not matter how much health the opponent has, they lose half rounded up. and if i tap a vamp (why the heck wouldn't have a vamp by the time play this card). you lose the other half. It's a long shot, but it's a good game ender for those long drawn out matches.

the last few support card I added in for either flavor or convenience were,

Isolated Chapel the best dual land IMO flavor wise and in the current standard format it's extremely usefulVault of the Archangel make all my creatures deathtouch lifelinks? OMG I HAVE AN ARMY OF NIGHTHAWKS! deal with itAjani Goldmane might be getting replaced, have not made my mind up yet. Though his final ability is where it's at.

Updates Add

after reading many comments and playtesting against a few friends, i figured out where most of the problems were in the deck and banged them out with the hammer of no remorse.

Focusing on speed alone i upped the 1/2 drops, and focused the deck more on causing death/lifegain some interesting results.
