Honestly, I think Ubul Sar Gatekeepers is an awesome card. I've played in a couple of pauper tournaments lately, and that card has saved my tail so many times. I have to vote for him, he's removal + blocker and that's everything we need to hit hard with our red keepers.

True, though W/B are our main colours, and so their fixing is helpful. Right now I think I'd run 5 mountains, our 4 gates, 4 plains and 4 swamps. Though it'd be easy to shift it to 3 plains 5 swamps. Right now, we're actually more of a black deck, splashing red and white.
Will hopefully get a rakdos gate if we're lucky. But seriously some more creatures would be nice.

Don't underestimate them! We can also win through maw of the obzedat, stealing a badass bomb with the smelt-ward gatekeepers, and of course, debt tot he deathless and toil / trouble are pretty bomby too.
We may have to use the sinister possession's to negate early aggro plays by our opponents, though.

Why does it say our last pick was a drake?
This is a pretty tough one. I really hate taking off-colour gates over on-colour good stuff. One question we need to answer is, how many gates do we need?
Assume 17 land (though I kind of prefer 18, but in this case it dilutes our gates). One more gate gives us roughly 1/4 of our landbase as gates. So by turn 4, we'll have 1 gate on average, if we hit all the land drops. If we got 5 then we'd be at just under a third, which is probably ideal.
So, once we get 2 more guild gates we should not take any more over functional picks (except perhaps an on-colour gate). We have about 10 picks left, and so far we've seen gates in every pack. I feel like we could get away with waiting one more pack, and I really like the idea of that other gatekeeper.. but I guess we'll play it safe.
