I wanted to bring back my Mill and Kill deck with some modifications to make it more competitive.
The Cards:
Breaking - Standard milldeck, I have to have at least 1 standard mill card.
Codex Shredder - mill one, I must be insane... a little. That 1 card though can let me play Consuming Aberration early and hit Death's Approach early. Against control I can mill myself to find one of many 5 drops and bring it back as a pseudo tutor. blowing itself up to bring back Jace is always good.
Consuming Aberration - It mills with each spell played. Every doomblade becomes a Grisly Spectacle... sort of. unblockable with Thassa or life link from the whip and you have a lot of fun. It doesn't get hit with doomblade or ultimate price either.
Death's Approach - One drop kill spell. One drop kill spell that removes gods. yes please.
Doom Blade - do you really need an explanation? remove for dark Betrayal against mono-black.
Duskmantle Guildmage - This guy can kill your opponent fast. The direct damage doesn't come from a source so even those mazes end fog decks get murdered.
Erebos, God of the Dead - shuts down life gain decks like, well a god. He also gives card advantage
Grisly Spectacle - kills everything doomblade doesn't and mills as well. great against monstrous decks and anything that gets a giant creature on board.
Hero's Downfall - Planeswalker hate and akill spell that hits everything.
Jace, Memory Adept - mill 10... combine with Duskmantle Guildmage and you can completely destroy your opponent in a couple turns.
Mirko Vosk, Mind Drinker - against many mono black and red/x aggro this guy goes to work due to the general lack of fliers.
Pilfered Plans - It's Divination + mill for the same cmc.
Thassa, God of the Sea stabilizer that can make mirko and the abberation unblockable.
Thrill-Kill Assassin - against aggro and mid-range, it's an early death touch blocker, against control its a decent 2-drop creature.
Whip of Erebos - Okay I'm going to be honest, this is in here just for Consuming Aberration getting life link or bringing it back again for mass damage and life link. Also, mono-red hate.
