Sidisi's gnarled fingers curled around the branch as she moved it aside - a thin smile spreading across her jet black lips; "Urt'ai, would you come here please..."
A figure cloaked in a violent purple aura brushed aside a patch of leaves and nodded, his whiskers twitching in the gloom of the treeline. "Bring me the Oracle."
Urt'ai nodded to two of his undead rank, who turned, before shambling through the thick brush; and out of sight.
Minutes later the undead returned trudging through the leafy mire. each of them grasped a chain in their rotting hands. At the end of the chains a once elegant beast stood impassive - it's blue fur patchy, worn and oily - and it's cold blue eyes fixed on Sidisi; who turned to meat his gaze.
"You will answer the questions our beloved Khan has for you, prophet." Snarled Urt'ai, his fur bristling with demonic power.
A voice echoed low in the head of each of member of the Sultai Brood, who were now amassing in the swampy glade. "As if I have a choice."
Sidisi grinned, her sharp teeth glimmering, "Sphinx..." the prophet stared still, "...beyond these trees lay the endless house's of Abzan."
"Indeed."
"If my brood are to attack these defences are we assured victory?" Sidisi's smile vanished as a look of ruthlessness took hold.
the voice of the Sphinx reverberated inside her head, "Victory is not assured"
"Why."
"Your undead, though many they be, will be crushed under Abzan might"
Sidisi lashed out at a nearby undead, slicing it in twain with her talons. "Rise." the severed corpse, with little effort, rejoined; and clambered back to it's feet. "Are you to tell me prophet that our necromancy is to be useless against these walls?"
the Sphinx nodded. "Yes." Sidisi began to shake with fury. "there is however..." the Sphinx began, "an alternate prophecy."
"then speak of it..."
"Free me and I will not have to speak of it my grace..." the Sphinx's eyes seemed to turn dark, "...I will show you."
