Now that the deck is finished, let's get explaining.
The main purpose of this deck is to disrupt your opponent as much as possible, whether it be in their hand or on their field. Once that is accomplished close out the game as fast as you can.
There are 12 forms of hand disruption Thoughtseize, Inquisition of Kozilek, Tidehollow Sculler, and Liliana of the Veil. All of these cards allow you to constantly be in your opponent's hand giving you the ability to be partially omnipotent almost always making the right line of play.
The deck has access to 8 cards available to interact with the board. Path to Exile, Abrupt Decay, and Maelstrom Pulse. Path is your general "Creature be-gone" spell catching any pests on your opponent's side. ADecay deals with the low drops that you couldn't steal with your hand disruption spells. and MPulse is a last ditch "Catch All."
All of the creatures in the deck serve their own purpose. Let's break them down.
Dark Confidant: Having a majority of the deck being a 3 drop or under, he is a great form of card advantage at a low casting cost.
Kitchen Finks: A solid 3/2 body that gains me life, and is hard to deal with.
Tidehollow Sculler: A creature that slides into the deck perfectly. He comes down, snags the opponent's removal spell from hand and beats in.
Vampire Nighthawk: The creature I'm least happy about running, however he does everything he's asked. He trades with goyfs, gains life, and deals with flyers.
Tarmogoyf: This card is just a solid 4/5-5/6 body for 2 mana. Main finisher in the deck.
Lingering Souls: Although this isn't an actual "creature card" it still fits the slot as one. The ability to produce 4 power worth of flyers on one card is really good.
The deck also comes packaged with 2 very special one ofs. Sword of Light and Shadow is a workhorse all its own. when you know the coast is clear to slam it down, you know you've won. Elspeth, Knight-Errant Is also a game winner. She is extremely hard to kill against creature based decks, and jumping a creature with her second +1 is almost never bad.
Sideboard
All of the cards in my Sideboard serve a specific purpose, and they each come in their own package. I am a HUGE advocate of never having dead cards in a deck. I find it not helpful having 2x Rest in Piece when you could have 1x Relic of Progenitus alongside 1x Rest in Piece for the sheer fact that having two of those same cards in your hand is redundant. Now lets get on to the packages.
