Veinfire Borderpost isn't feasible without enough basic lands to guarantee its alternate cost. And adding red permanents that wouldn't otherwise be good to run Kederekt Parasite isn't a good idea.
Also, I realize this deck is a bit slow, but I'm not sure how to speed it up while sticking to the same overall strategy. Any advice?

i like it. kinda didnt have great luck with testing it on here but it was annoyingly fun decks to play/play against. what about changing up some of the lands? maybe change underground river for drowned catacomb or darkslick shores? it would be one less life lost just trying to get mana.

Maybe consider Psychosis Crawler because after all, you'll be drawing a ton of cards as well and since you don't discard until the end of the turn it could easily end up being much higher than a 7/7, after of course dealing 1 damage for every card you draw at start of turn.

Bloodchief ascension + Mindcrank seems good here. Also maybe a Lilianas caress?

That's an awesome combo, but the way this deck plays, by the time Bloodchief Ascension goes active, the game will be decided.
Psychosis Crawler is just too expensive.

Duskmantle Seer would be a nice sideboard addition. Against Primeval Titan ramp decks and hideaway decks using Emrakul, the Aeons Torn .

All I have to say is that you should replace City of Brass with Mana Confluence once it comes out.

You could put in Sign in Blood so it hurts more with Fate Unraveler and Underworld Dreams by an aditonal 4 at most

Psychosis Crawler for your draw, Master of the Feast for theirs

Drop the Swans, go and splash for Nekusar, the Mindrazer, Rain of Gore (to ensure their gain isn't out-doing your drain) and Burning Inquiry. Sure, it hits you too, but if you play the valuable spells for that turn depending on board state, you're doing essentially a bolt and then some, as well as cycling for three new cards.

Why don't you swap the Swans of Bryn Argoll for Master of the Feast?

Since you've got the lands that tap for any color (Reflecting Pool will tap for white as well if you have a Swans of Bryn Argoll out), why not run Pariah+Swans of Bryn Argoll? Could be hilarious even in the sideboard for facing decks with little enchantment/artifact interaction.
Or, in other words... Go ahead, swing at me for 234235249834573203.

i like the low mana and it is a great deck overall. A little bit slow for my taste, but i like the concept of the deck. +1
