Not all M15 cards have been full run through the systems on some websites. Just glitches. They're negligible. If it's from RtR or newer, it's legal. There's no banned cards within the approved sets in Standard.

If I decide to keep this deck around beyond the rotation, Fury of the Horde will totally make it in.

Extraplanar Lens + Utvara Hellkite

mainboard Siege Dragon and throw in the always beautiful Dictate of the Twin Gods :)

Siege Dragon combined with Dictate of the Twin Gods for 4 damage on each creature w/o flying. Field sweep and finish with Utvara Hellkite dragon tokens 9/9 w/ Crucible of Fire fielded.

maybe Whispersilk Cloak on Siege Dragon ???

field sweep, mop up with a horde of dragons lol

I had a little problem with mana during testing but it sure was fun to play and when it landed out it was crazy good.

I absolutely love this dragon deck, and I can't wait to see it updated for standard on September 20th. The problem is, dragons do not exist on Tarkir... and nobody will want to spend $80 on four copies of Sarkhan

I just found out that ancient time-traveling dragons will exist on Tarkir. This deck could very well become the best mono-colored tribal in the block. I'm nerding out so hard thank you for bringing this deck into my life.

As it stands, I was thinking of having four stormbreath Dragons, two copies of Sarkhan(I'm hoping the price drops), and two Siege Dragons. That would replace Tyrant and Scourge, but so far there isn't a good way to replace the low CMC dragons. I knew the Khans block had time travel but I didn't know it was TIME TRAVELING DRAGONS! I'm glad I'm not the only one that is nerding out!

Shivan Dragon is back in M15! Would it be a good addition or does Stormbreath make it obsolete?

Apparently Wizards of the Coast trademarked "Dragons of Tarkir" and it has been confirmed that there will be a time-traveling element in the block. My theory is that Sarkhan decides his beloved dragons should exist on his home world, so he finds a way to travel back in time to prevent their destruction. We might not see any dragons in the first set, but when the second set is released to forward the story, it could be entirely dragon themed!

A piece of evidence to support this theory is Crucible of Fire ! Why would they include a dragon-specific enchantment if they're rotating out all the dragons? Speaking of which, do you think it's a good card to add? A couple other ideas I had were Seismic Strike , Cone of Flame and Hoarding Dragon either alongside Siege Dragon or side boarded in it's place

I almost forgot about Forgestoker Dragon

We could also bring in Wall of Fire for its low cost and ability to stall. My last suggestion is Messenger's Speed because it can make our larger, slower dragons far more dangerous. I'm just throwing out ideas

Circle of Flame might be good to sideboard against a swarm deck, and I love the thought of Burning Anger cast on a dragon but it might be too expensive

Okay, I definitely know one card would make this deck insanely powerful and it's Howl of the Horde

How many Crater's Claws are you going to put in and for what? I was thinking take out 3x Act on Impulse and 2x Wild Guess then put in 3x Howl of the Horde and 2x Crater's Claws . Sorry for the spam, I'm just really excited about this deck.

I think I'm going to wait to see what else gets spoiled from khans but that looks like a solid switch in my book. Might want to leave Act on Impulse in the deck, at least sideboard, just to avoid top decking early.

Have you considered using an Obelisk of Urd ?

CSchademann says... #20

I had not, that does seem like it could be very good though.

Liaramancer says... #21

Crucible of Fire seems better then Obelisk of Urd because it's cheaper and gives +3

September 9, 2014 10:41 p.m.

I have a similar concept in my deck. I like it, though I've already set mine up for post rotation, barring Khans stuff I can use they haven't spoiled yet.Suggestions I guess:Forgestoker Dragon , Spawn of Thraxes , Archetype of Aggression .

September 9, 2014 10:51 p.m.

Also, don't overlook Twinflame . Yes you lose the token at the end step, but look at it as paying two mana (or 5 for 2) for haste dragons. Good for a surprise attacker to finish your opponent.

Team Forgestoker Dragon and Spawn of Thraxes are inferior to Stormbreath Dragon and Siege Dragon in my opinion. Archetype of Aggression is a good card but I wouldn't use him in this deck because dragons have flying so his trample is pretty useless. Twinflame is definitely a good choice because who wouldn't want to drop another Stormbreath Dragon or Siege Dragon for 2 mana!

September 10, 2014 2:32 p.m.

Well, I use archetype because there a lot of flyers in my playgroup and ensoul artifact on a Ornithopter is a thing.
