A really fun blue black control deck looking to make a bunch of treasure tokens and win with Marionette Master. I have play tested this deck a lot and have found that the original inspiration for this deck, Revel in Riches, is usually too slow, which is why I switched to Marionette Master. Master is better for several reasons: 1. You can win with 5 treasures vs. 10 treasures (assuming opponent has no life gain), 2. You can win immediately upon playing Master (vs. winning on your upkeep) 3. Option to make chump blockers in a pinch. Revel is included in the sideboard incase you are up against a life gaining/control deck.

Your other win condition is Tezzeret the Schemer. Every game I have played where his ult goes off, I have won. He also synergizes well with everything. The fact that he has 5 starting loyalty makes him hard to remove. Getting to his -7 is pretty easy with this deck since we have 3 board wipes and lots of removal/counter spells.

The rest of the deck is just to help you survive and/or get treasure tokens. Contraband Kingpin is a great turn 2 drop and helps you look for what you need. Chaining it into Sailor of Means is nice. I used to play Deadeye Plunderers, but I swapped them out for Prosperous Pirates to synergize better with Master. It was definitely fun to get him up to double digits, but more often than not he only stalls the game when you want to win. Prosperous Pirates helps you get to 5 treasures faster and is a great play right before turn 6 Master. Inspiring Statuary has awesome synergy with this deck since it allows you to tap your treasures for mana. I haven’t tried it yet, but Krark-Clan Ironworks looks like it would be amazing in this deck.
For our counter and creature control, Fatal Push is exceptionally good in this deck since we can easily sac a treasure to trigger the revolt. Take these out and put in Duress against non-creature decks. Bontu's Last Reckoning is also really good against decks looking to dump their hand. Since we can sac or tap our treasures for mana, you can still make plays on the turn after you play it. I threw in Phyrexian Scriptures since I got it in a pack and it is working pretty well. Damnation is in the maybe board since it would be better but more expensive. Counter spells included to make sure Master resolves and to slow your opponent down. Spell Swindle also has huge potential to get you a massive amount of treasure.
In the side board is Dire Fleet Hoarder incase you need to speed things up against an aggro deck. Since treasure can sack for any color mana, we can have some fun cards in the sideboard. Giant Growth is there in case you are in a free for all and you want to kill everyone in one turn by casting it on a Master. Naturalize to deal with any pesky enchantments or artifacts.
