Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth . Turns your colorless utility lands into black-producing lands as well, if you need it. I mean, there's really no downside

I forgot to add that it makes Mutilate ridiculous.

@Unforgivn_II could you slug that as a ((suggestion:urborg, tomb of yawgmoth)).
so you get credit for the suggestion.

I thought I did? I put [ [suggestion: ...] ]. Unless that's wrong, I didn't pay much attention to the tutorial

despite what maxon said, and how good it is, you really can't include Immortal Servitude in this deck, seeing as it is also a white card

that is very true, although it will be in my white-red-black that i've just reciently come up with a theme for. how have you Sugarman found my mono-black deck?

I don't understand the reasoning behind running only 2x Relentless Rats
. They seem like a very all-or-nothing sort of card, with only two you've got a pair of 2/2s for 3 that might get to be 3/3s once in a while.
As replacements, first as was mentioned above Ogre Slumlord
is PERFECT for this deck. Using Marrow-Gnawer
's ability will add just that one more rat every time, and giving nearly all the creatures in your deck deathtouch isn't nothing.
The one other card that this deck is begging for is Door of Destinies
. Why run Relentless Rats
when you can activate Marrow-Gnawer
after dropping door and make all of your creatures 10/10 with fear? I really do believe it's too good not to include in this deck.

Also Dark Impostor is probably just plain better than Consumptive Goo . Slightly higher mana investment but oh so much more impact.

The Door of Destinies requires casting of creatures, not just ETB DancinSasquatch. It is still good, but not that good. Although Coat of Arms would do that you said. But if your opponent is playing tribal as well, it helps them as a downside.

i ran 2 Relentless Rats
as that is all i own, as for Door of Destinies
it is a must have I agree. I have room for cuts, to be replaiced by cards in the "maybe board" and I will implement the changes once I own those cards.
Thank you.

Ratcatcher , Swarmyard , Ink-Eyes, Servant of Oni ?
Have a look at my rat tribal deck Nezumi of Night's Reach and let me know what you think

ThrKing Ratcatcher
nice one, it did not show as a [ [suggest:card] ] though. I am working on aquiring the others also.
You bet, I will leave my comments on your deck page!

Ah, my bad on the Door of Destinies
. Still great as you can cast a rat to tick up the door, and then sacrifice it to explode into more rats.
On the Relentless Rats
note, if you want a card that'll play like relentless rats but without committing thirty card slots to it, give Pack Rat
a try. Counts all rats you control instead of just other Relentless Rats
, and ensures you'll never have a dead card draw again.
One last suggestion from me is Patron of the Nezumi . It grinds down games fairly quickly, works crazy well with Death Cloud , and the ability to reliably cast it as an instant in this deck, say, in response to a wrath is invaluable.

No problem MrKnify, I've been wanting to build a Marrow-Gnawer deck for a while and this might've just kickstarted it, heh.

I lied, a couple more things I'd change: Helldozer
takes the same mana investment as Demonic Hordes
to use, but it's optional each use instead of mandatory at upkeep and has no risk of blowing up your own lands if you can't pay for some reason. Brings an extra power to the table too, which is fun.
Ensnaring Bridge will probably backfire on you more than you'd like. You've got a very swarmy deck that likes to attack, and might end up in a very difficult position of not being able to attack due to not having enough cards in hand. Yes, it prevents you attacking as well. If you want to stave off some aggression, a Crawlspace may work better.
