Basic Strategy
At the start this plays like a normal green/white control enchantment deck.
-exile everything
-prevent their creatures from attacking
Once
Dovescape
, hits only creatures are not countered (no removal, no big spells, no countering) and this deck is made to make the doves plentiful and dangerous.
I originally tried this deck with blue/white, and found this to be way more effective. I have tried to get the mana cost of spells to be effective pre and post
Dovescape
. I also think this deck is really easy to adjust via sideboard to tackle other decks.
Mana Ramp
Dovescape
and
Sphere of Safety
are expensive, so you want enchantment-based mana to get it out early.
- ManaBloom
-
Utopia Sprawl
-
Arbor Elf
Control
-
Banishing Light
,
Journey to Nowhere
,
Guard Duty
,
-
Sphere of Safety
- keeps you alive, with all the enchantments it can lock down your opponent
-
Windborn Muse
is similar but as a creature it can be played post
Dovescape
-
Celestial Flare
- you can't get by without instants.
Sphere of Safety
and all the removal can make it rare to be attacked with more than 1 creature, so this really is effective against infect
Apostle's Blessing
,
Vines of Vastwood
or slippery boggle.
Card Draw
Win Conditions
Dovescape
counters all your opponents non-creature spells, and gives tokens instead. You need to make more and bigger doves than your opponent.
Win:
-
Sphere of Safety
- only your tokens attack
- manabloom+dovescape - make x doves, easy to return back to your hand
- Dovescape + Mirror Entity
- this creature works now, but cards like
Overrun
can't (countered). Easy to make 10 7/7 doves.
Problems
Back to Nature
or other enchantment wipes only work before
Dovescape
is cast.
Nevermore
gives you a chance to prevent this.
