It looks like Gleancrawler has some nombo with the rest of your deck, in putting the cards into your hand instead of the grave, where you really want them. Grave Titan seems like it would be a decent replacements as a good generic 6 drop.

Also Rendclaw Trow gives you a decent way to quickly gain experience counters in the combo, also providing an immortal defender.
