This is my first attempt at a "Death & Taxes" deck for standard format, which is more viable thanks to a few cards from Kaladesh. I am always looking for ways to improve my decks and my brewing skill, so suggestions and ideas are always welcome.

Mainboard

Authority of the Consuls, Thalia, Heretic Cathar: Slow your opponent down considerably and enable Murderous Compulsion.

Kambal, Consul of Allocation: Tax your opponent for their noncreature spells and gain life in return.

Transgress the Mind, Thought-Knot Seer, Mind Rot , Harsh Scrutiny: Get rid of stuff from your opponent's hand.

Stasis Snare, Declaration in Stone , Fairgrounds Warden, Murderous Compulsion, Anguished Unmaking: Removal for threats on the board.

Serene Steward : Goes really well with Authority of the Consuls + Thalia, Heretic Cathar .

Nephalia Academy ,Geier Reach Sanitarium: Put in for Thought-Knot Seer and their useful utility.

Sideboard

Deadlock Trap : Useful against annoying planeswalkers or as a way to tap the opponent's creatures. Not a great card due to the deck not currently having anything that constantly generates energy counters.

Lost Legacy: An okay exile spell. The obvious drawback (heh) to this is the opponent draws a card for each exiled card, so potentially 4 cards. The hand hating cards can possibly combo off with Lost Legacy to negate the downside.

Thalia's Lieutenant: Sideboard filler.

Not completely sure about what the sideboard really needs to be, but I think it is okay at the moment.
