If you're only going to play 2 colours of mana, Read the Bones is better than Painful Truths. Both are 3-drop sorceries that let you draw two, only Read gives you 2 scry as well. Now, if you were to splash a third colour, Truths becomes interesting.

Remove: 2x Stone Haven Medic (non allies, there are better healing triggers)1x Kor Castigator (there are better 2 drop allies)2x Tandem Tactics
Suggested:Rally the Ancestors (allows for surprise victories with cutthroats and Kalastria Healer especially when used with Husks)
December 22, 2015 4:51 p.m.
@kinzarr true i will switch the two now thanks
@punkre the reason im avoiding Rally the Ancestors is bc the creatures are exiled at the end of turn and double white could be hard to come by. Though as a big play late game would be great so maybe 2 of. Any suggestions for the 2 drop spot
December 23, 2015 5:29 a.m.
The play you're hoping for with Rally the Ancestors would be to trigger the heals off of Angel of Renewal and Kalastria Healer and then sack them all to blow up a Nantuko Husk to ridiculous proporitions. Can sometimes win you the game in one turn.
December 23, 2015 5:45 a.m.
Yea i was also thinking a Defiant Bloodlord might be worth it to just drain them put immediately but its so high up yhe curve i wasnt sure
December 23, 2015 6:11 a.m.
I'm no expert but I would definitely try out Defiant Bloodlord. Your deck doesn't seem too fast, so having a strong late game might be worth it :)
December 23, 2015 8:15 a.m.
The deck seems fun. There are A LOT of players using it in my local meta. Where it is mardu B/W or R/W, All three are viable. that being said, I think ypu are going somewhere with this. But before I go to in depth, are you looking for an aggro or midrange deck? How important is lifegain? And is red an option?
January 4, 2016 9:23 a.m.
Serene Steward (interacts very well with lifegain nonsense)
You also definitely need Lantern Scout over Makindi Patrol.
January 4, 2016 9:32 a.m.
More midrange and the reason i havent moved into mardu was i lack the funds for fetchlands
January 4, 2016 9:34 a.m.
TMBRLZ thanks for the suggestions what should be cut to make rooms for those cards. Is sorin worth putting into this deck
January 4, 2016 9:39 a.m.
If you already have sorin? Yes. He has (arguably) the best +1 in standard right now. And his ultimate is awesome. But I would also think about where he would go.... to better explain, for the midrange deck. I would take out Defiant Bloodlord, Bloodbond Vampire, Drana's Emissary, Makindi Patrol and Angel of Renewal for a total of (8) crettatures. Replace them with 3 Lantern Scout, 3 Kor Bladewhirl, and 2 Hero of Goma Fada
Next, remove Ultimate Price and Gideon's Reproach for 2 Utter End
With the 'husk you do t really need Vampiric Rites unless you just really need the extra card draw, and Shadows of the Past unless you really like the scry. That being said, I would either chose one or the other as a 2 of or replace both of them with Stasis Snare or Sorin, Solemn Visitor
Do you ever get land screwed? Bc 27 seems like far to much land. I would drop it down to 22-24. But more Ally Encampment is always a good option and I dont know about Rogue's Passage. Just personal thought.
Finally, the mono-white retreat would be pretty in this deck.
Hope I helped! Good luck and i hope it works out well for you!
January 4, 2016 10:16 a.m.
The Rogue's Passage was left in to possibly let through a super pumped husk in though parting with it isnt huge. I like both Drana's Emissary and Defiant Bloodlord with the lifegain thats happening in the deck bloodlord will straight drain continuously. Ill probably drop Makindi Patrol, Angel of Renewal, 2 Bloodbond Vampire, and 2 lands in exchnage for the 3 Lantern Scout and 3 Kor Bladewhirl.Utter End is a great upgrade on those cards. The enchantments will drop for Stasis Snare until i can get sorin. Id like bothRetreat to Emeria and Serene Steward but not sure where to fit them

I understand you built this off hand, but to more easier answer your questions I built a copy.
I simply took your shell and removed the cards I thought were unnecessary and put in the ones I thought were. I only expect you to use this as an idea, but you also have to understand potential differences in opinion.
I believe firmly that if you're going to use a tribal deck in Standard it has to be a nearly all or nothing ordeal. So the deck is comprised mainly of creatures, forsaking a lot of the interactive features you had. If you find yourself unable to outrush your opponent then the sideboard is built up of interactive spells, mainly removal. I just kind of built it by glancing over Gatherer real quick so don't take it seriously.
You're going to be better off the more smaller and faster creatures you can obtain. You're more likely to just beat your opponent's face in that way. It will also be more friendly to Liliana, Defiant Necromancer's second ability.
Hope this helps:

Do you find lilly and drana need to be 3 ofs bc i was gonna move them to 2. Im not a big fan of expedition envoy though it is good for the ally trigger but thats about it. That's 6 spots along with if i remove vanpiric rites to make 9. 2 would go back into land leaving 7. Do you think creatures, hand disruption, or removal would be best here
January 4, 2016 11:44 a.m.
In the allie decks, creatures is always a bonus. The R/W allie deck in my local area is unbeaten right now it is almost all creatures.
January 4, 2016 12:25 p.m.
Drana, Liberator of Malakir and Liliana, Heretical Healer Flip are essentially your bombs, at least as far my build went. But honestly that's still the point. Angel of Renewal and Defiant Bloodlord cost too much to be major threats. They'll either never be seen or they'll be removed instantly. Drana is fast and powerful enough to make an effective change in the board state and game state, putting your opponent on the clock if they can't answer her immediately. Liliana becomes much more lethal once she flips. Walker hate is fairly small and ineffective in Standard currently.
Yeah I know Ruinous Path exists but it's typically a SB card.
So to answer your question having more of them is ultimately going to be more helpful to you.

The only problem with them I figured would be the legendary rule coming into play
January 4, 2016 1:22 p.m.
TobyG Yeah, it's incredibly stupid. Its nothing really more than a boros Deck with allies. It's just so stupid FAST That most The only thing that can really hold its own Is a Atarka. But giving all those darn allies Lifelink indestructible And vigilance is a pain in the butt.It has gone five straight weeks With a 4-0 record. It has made me hate munda
January 4, 2016 2:01 p.m.
Don't get hung up on the Legendary rule. If you have an extra one in hand then you either have a backup for when that one gets removed (which is highly probable) or you have discard fodder.
Jace, Vryn's Prodigy Flip rapidly approached the $100 mark because he was seeing play as a four of in control and combo decks from Standard to Legacy. He's legendary, but they were playing four of him.
The point is to increase the chance they'll show up in your starting or early hand. That's why there's three of them. That's 1 in 20 cards you could pull her. A 5% chance to have her in your starting hand. Every card drawn from thereon out simply increases the likelihood she'll show up. The number of copies you use for a card ultimately comes down to probability. How soon do you want to see this card?
January 4, 2016 2:03 p.m.
Consider that in your average competitive game you're only probably going to ever make it through your first twenty cards of your library, give or take.
That's a rough guesstimate but not far off from the reality. This is why people play fetches. This is why people cram four copies of cards they HAVE to see to win.
It's why greater emphasis is given to creatures lower on the CMC curve.
It's all about probability.
January 4, 2016 2:08 p.m.
Still playing with it after all of the suggestions you guys gave me is this starting to look better to you guys going more midrange with it
January 4, 2016 6:26 p.m.
It looks good! Now you just need to okay test it and see what you think its short comings are. Once you have that in mind, build a sideboard to help mitigate them :) and dont be afraid to run extra cards you already have copies of in the SB like Stasis Snare or Planar Outburst
Im still a big fan of hero of goma fada, but that is my personal preference. Good luck and dont forget to post how you do! Im always curious to see how decks run :)
RogueArtificer says... #1
4 Kalistra Healer and Zulaport Cutthroat is a must. I have a Mardu ally deck that has won on the back of these cards alone.
March from the Tomb is worth a look to reanimate the dead allies and get all those sweet ETB triggers.
Looking at it again, pretty much everything in your maybeboard. Don't think you'll need that many Dranas though.
