This deck has been an inspiration for quite some time. I've finally got around to building a deck of my own. Here's a link if you'd be willing to lend any advice. The Wail of Ruin Incarnate

It's just the standard reduce their life to 0 win-con. Being able to revive a lot of creatures or a couple of heavy hitters, along with being able to take out most threats. It takes time and planning, but it gets there. Sorin Markov also helps get there faster, and if normal damage fails, I have Blightsteel Colossus and Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon for a shorter clock.
Horobi, Death's Wail doesn't need to stay on the field, he just changes the rules of the game to make it more interesting and allows me to manipulate the game in a favorable way (along with messes up my opponents' thought patterns). He's really fun to use against Voltron decks, namely Sigarda, Host of Herons decks.

I'm still a noob, and if this comes across as a dumb comment, I apologize. Wouldn't Duplicant's imprint ability get stacked by Horobi, Death's Wail, thus leaving Duplicant with no creature in exile, making it just a basic 2/4 with no abilities? Seems mighty steep a cost for a simple kill spell.
Again, sorry if I'm mistaking the rules.

Uhhhh, if you control both triggers I think you can arrange the order in which they resolve. Someone correct me if I'm wrong?
December 2, 2014 1:21 p.m.
Duplicant's ability will trigger when it enters the field, if Horobi, Death's Wail is also on the field, then the destruction effect will trigger. Horobi, Death's Wail's ability will resolve first. If the creature is still a legal target (such as being indestructible) then Duplicant's ability will resolve, exiling it.
The point of Duplicant isn't to play him when Horobi, Death's Wail is out (he will generally end up as a 2/4 for 6 at that point). If I do, it's to get rid of indestructible creatures. The main purpose is to get rid of things I can't normally deal with, and be a colorless solution. The main issue involves an opponent playing Iona, Shield of Emeria (while Horobi, Death's Wail is not in play) and calling Black.
I only have 3 answers for that:
Oblivion Stone, which takes 8 mana and requires me to be able to cast and activate it.
Predator, Flagship, which takes 10 mana and requires me to cast and activate it.
and Duplicant, which costs 6 mana and has an ETB effect.
These are 3 very preventable effects (Stony Silence, Damping Matrix, and Torpor Orb just to name a few issues). So I need all the help I can get to protect against issues that prevent me from playing anything.

Sorry, I forgot to address this:
@ChiefBell the only way you can pick the order of your abilities is when they occur at the same time. In this case, Duplicant will trigger first, then Horobi, Death's Wail so I can't pick the order there.
An example of being able to choose the order would be when controlling Angelic Chorus and Cathars' Crusade then playing a creature. They trigger at the same time so you would put Angelic Chorus's ability on the stack first so that Cathars' Crusade's ability resolved first, giving you one more life.

Now that I've had some free time to test some more and look into more cards: I'm in the process of changing the maybe/main boards, most likely going to drop Trip Noose and Tooth of Chiss-Goria as they have been under-performing lately, added an edit to the description and have gotten around to writing some replies.
@ Septimne : Fated Return is highly being considered atm. Just seeing where it would fit better.
@ Didgeridooda : Gravestorm is being considered for more draw. Necropotence is part of the banned list (see edit), and I'm not a big fan of mandatory loss of life every turn (Underworld Connections would be a better option, but it's too easy to deal with). There's enough ramp in the deck with Crypt Ghast, Liliana of the Dark Realms, Armillary Sphere, and mana rocks. I have a few tutor sources which is enough for a good game. I'm not a fan of being loaded with tutors so I basically play the same game every time. I like to change it up and have fun.
@ Xiianil : Sheoldred, Whispering One is highly being considered atm along with Sacred Armory for some hard beats.
@ Flareking99 : Soul of New Phyrexia is just a mana dump and isn't worth it (especially in multiplayer games).

Oasis is just great. It is even better to copy the land and have two.
Lim-Dul the Necromancer didn't seem like it was going to be worth the seven mana, but every game I have played that he resolved, turned instantly oppressive.
Ink-Eyes, Servant of Oni is just great in my Horobi, His Ninjutsu doesn't target, so I usually bounce Horobi back to my hand for a cheap play later. Not to mention the opponents creature.
Kuro, Pitlord is an all-star. With forty life to play with; he kills even the largest of creatures, but with Horobi out I can instantly kill any target I am able to target for the price of one life. Plus, what other deck are you going to be able to use the Pitlord in.
Glaring Spotlight seems like an auto-include.
Ophiomancer is really good for supplying sac fodder every turn, not just your turn.
Contamination is a good way to lock-down the game if you have the right sac-fodder available.
Pestilence Demon gets around Horobi, takes out weenies, gets around shroud and hexproof, and if equipped with Scythe of the Wretched is just oppressive. Five black to kill and recur every creature with a toughness of 5 or less.
Phyrexian Crusader is a wincon against red/white decks.
Steel Hellkite You know why.

I prefer to run Arcane Lighthouse over Glaring Spotlight.
I've been heavily considering Lim-Dul the Necromancer, but not sure where I want the deck to turn for him.
I'm not a fan of Oasis because the land is rather lacking without Horobi, Death's Wail or Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth.
I was thinking of replacing my Gild with Steel Hellkite (I just need to find out which binder I put it in first).
Although I love Ink-Eyes, Servant of Oni, she doesn't fit very well in the deck as it usually only attacks later in the game (early - mid game is basically a control deck playstyle).
I like having Blightsteel Colossus and Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon because of how helpful they can be in multiple situations, but I don't want too much infect in the deck so I didn't include Phyrexian Crusader (I made an infect deck a while back, so my playgroup still holds a grudge when they see it).

Understandable. You should definitely play test the Pestilence Demon+Scythe of the Wretched. It is amazing.
January 15, 2015 10:44 a.m.
There's a reason why I mentioned the Scythe of the Wretched to you. Also, Scythe will trigger even if your Demon doesn't kill it. So if you activate Pestilence Demon's ability once while equipped with Scythe of the Wretched then play something like Damnation you will gain control of every creature. Remember, if there are multiple toughness values on creatures, you will get the lowest value, then have to re-equip the Scythe to the Demon before continuing to kill the rest to gain control of them (as the scythe attaches itself to the creature you get from it).
Although it's a nice interaction, I don't really like running equipment in the deck.

Thinking of trading out :
Baton of Morale
Distorting Lens
Shrouded Lore
Gild
Ogre Slumlord
for :
Sacred Armory
Sheoldred, Whispering One
Steel Hellkite
Geth, Lord of the Vault
Maga, Traitor to Mortals or Wurmcoil Engine
Thoughts?

I agree with all of your swaps. I do like Distorting Lens to get around the protection granted from the various 'Swords Of', but the rest of the ones you are taking out are just mediocre.
January 18, 2015 2:31 p.m.
Retribution of the Ancients Is a wonderful card when Horobi, Death's Wail is out, but useless otherwise as I have nothing to give +1/+1 counters. I would run it, but I've been cutting back on cards that only really help with Horobi, Death's Wail is out (that's why I changed out Baton of Morale for Sacred Armory).
Thank you though.

I'd run Karn Liberated before Ugin, the Spirit Dragon. His ult is a little ill-suited for his deck as it would mostly turn into just another utility ult like Liliana of the Dark Realms's except I can lose the benefits from it with proper destruction. If I add another planeswalker, it would either need to have an easy route to victory (like Sorin Markov), or have lasting beneficial effects (like Elspeth, Knight-Errant).

Could I bother you to take another look at The Wail of Ruin Incarnate I've updated it and I think it's better, but I'd like a second opinion. Also any suggestions would be most appreciated.

If you feel like an alternative to Xenic Poltergeist, Karn, Silver Golem would work well. Plus it's not a tap ability.
