Tormented Hero, Duress, Despise, Artificer's Hex (side), Bloodsoaked Champion, Smallpox, Disentomb, and other low cost cards to lower your mana curve. Just cut cards that are not really working for your deck.

You wanted to bring your CMC down, IDontMakeSense, best way to do it is removing higher cost cards for lower ones.

But lowering the curve does not replace the power imbalance. I'd rather run better cards at higher curve. Plus there's are better alternatives that are lower CMC but also high in power.

Tl:drA deck doesn't need to sacrifice power for a lower curve.

If you want to lower your CMC then I say add Phyrexian Dreadnought. With Gisa it's almost a 2 mana Army of the Damned. You can add an Extraplanar Lens as a very cheap form of ramp to lower your CMC. Snow swamps would be the way to go if your going to use the lens.

I'd agree with Dreadnought. It's a card that I think it's on the RS so I'd pick it up while its still at $15....not that demand for it is increasing...

Altar's Reap and Bone Splinters are good utility cards that also sack your creatures. Also Caged Sun gives your land ramp for your higher cost cards. Also Sorin Markov is a staple for comander decks with black.

Caged Sun is in the deck already. As well as I think that ib multilayer sorin doesn't deal a kill so I'd keep him out for now.

Why are you using Hexmage if you aren't playing with Dark Depths?

Hexmage is a reliable way to kill or nullify anything with counters on it, notably planeswalkers.

Gempalm Polluter combos with Volrath's Stronghold for a very powerful interaction.
