Sideboard

This deck started off as an excuse to use Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver which I seemed to pull far too many of in the early days of theros. And it made a sizeable contribution at first.

Now the deck has changed quite considerably. It is meant to have answers to all these devotion decks. Spot removal of varying types to deal with protection creatures and aggro decks. Utilising Jace, Architect of Thought to dig through my deck or take the pressure off aggro decks and push for ultimate which wins you games quickly.

I've tried to keep a variety of win cons in this deck to make it difficult for the opponent to apply pressure in the right way. AEtherling is of course there along with Blood Baron of Vizkopa and Elspeth, Sun's Champion all allowing me to apply pressure after stabilising the game.

Updates Add

Initially i was going to run bant walkers at the next PTQ i'm going to at the weekend but in the end i've decided in a field of g/r monsters and creature swarming it just isn't fast enough a fair bit of the time despite having a fantastic finishing suite of cards. Staying alive can be an issue is you don't pull right,

So back to tried and tested esper. Its got the removal for early game, the counter for mid and the win cons for into the late game. I can't think of a weak match up for the deck really as it is pretty solid on all fronts so fingers crossed it goes well and i can come back with some positive news.
