Very cool deck :) +1 from me. If you are considering any "pinger-equiptment", then i think Thornbite Staff should be the weapon of choice.

It's your deck, so it's your decision. But consider that you can many times sweep the opponent's field for something around 6 mana and then leave behind a field that you can resweep over and over again.

seshiro_of_the_orochi It's a nice combo, but I'd have to dedicate a large part of the little mana I have available to sweep the field over and over. That's a lot of dedication to something that isn't the focus, which is combining deathtouch and first strike. I have Lure in there to do repeated board wiping for free. I'm wanting this as more of a way to kill off any extra problems that lure can't take care of, like Rakdos Cackler or a creature with Pacifism on it or something.

Have you thought about Typhoid Rats?

A 1 drop deathoucher is pretty serious opponent!

Maybe Gonti, Lord of Luxury can make itself into that deck, it has deathtouch plus some control.

I know it's a lot of mana but Phage the Untouchable is really fun to equip with Viridian Longbow.

HydraOoze Good suggestion. My worry is that this is a casual build and that's probably a bit too mean. However, I think I'll side deck her. That's a great combo and I think it'd be fantastic if I ever decided to take this thing to a local tournament or played against a lot of people or... really got sick of losing.. or something.

This deck does literal nothing to decks that win without creatures like storm and Ad Nauseam but its a pretty cool deck none-the-less

@mattman865 Thanks! I don't encounter many creatureless decks so I'm not too worried about that. I could still try to win through sheer combat damage, and if that isn't enough I could just hope Phage the Untouchable would get her trigger in. Not much of a plan, but whatever.

Always a fan of deathtouch themed decks, +1. Here are a few suggestions:

-4 Pharika's Chosen, +4 Ruthless Ripper

-4 Deadly Recluse, +4 Narnam Renegade (rely on removal to deal with flying)

-4 Runechanter's Pike, +4 Sharpened Pitchfork (unless you add more instants & sorceries)

Since deathtouch applies to all damage a creature deals, Nature's Way and Rabid Bite can be just as effective as Murder if you don't mind trading instant speed for 2cmc; Clear Shot's an option as well. Fighting (Prey Upon, Pit Fight, Ulvenwald Tracker, Setessan Tactics) also has the same effect.

There's also something to be said for swapping a few equipment cards out for Midnight Charm so first strike comes as a surprise.

Bow of Nylea + Predator Ooze + Lure for extra hate magnetizing mass-murder? Sprinkle in some trample after you pull this off and watch your opponent go out for a rage-smoke.

TheStraydog, that seems like a bit of a distraction from the real purpose of the deck to me, since it's not taking advantage of preexisting deathtouch.

However, this would be perfect in another deck of mine.

i would use Wasteland Viper over Pharika's Chosen. tbh i would use both and cut the Grave Titan as well as Sharpened Pitchforks. definitely love the concept. i second the motion on Gonti, Lord of Luxury also.

Just a heads up, Phage the Untouchable specifically reads combat damage, so pinging with a player with her using Viridian Longbow won't win you the game; it will just deal one damage. You need to get her through the battle lines.

Vraska the Unseen would be able to protect herself as well as being another wincon. I'm pretty sure you could keep her alive until her ult.

WB_ControlPlayerIncoming, I don't want to use "fighting" cards or cards with similar effects like Arena. My creatures are generally quite weak and first strike, being my main advantage in the deck, wont have any effect. It'll most likely kill both my creature and theirs.
