Looking good! I tend to think that Sphinx's Revelation is a bit weak for modern, but it should be fine as a 1-of.
I think Vault of the Archangel is a pretty cool addition, and I like how it allows you to stabilize further once you have your win-con out.
Overall, the deck looks pretty solid. I'd trade out Sphinx's Rev and Putrefy for 2x Inquisition of Kozilek, personally. (or just find a way to add 2 in general) Discard is one of the main ways this deck deals with threats (Liliana of the Veil fulfills this role) and you want to stay on top of your opponent's draws.
The only thing you really -lose- with Liliana OTV out is that you may find that your wincons are dead in your hand at times (wit Lili OTV they're used as discard fodder), but you should be fine so long as you play around that.
I would put some graveyard hate in your SB. I don't have any in mine, and It's actually hurt me a little.
In terms of lands, pick up a Celestial Colonnade if you can, but otherwise, it looks pretty good. In general, I prioritize Black -> Green -> Blue/White with fetches/shocks, as you really want to be able to either Thoughtseize or Birds of Paradise on T1.

Very good points, I see what you mean about the Rev and needing more discard.
I'll have to procure some Inquisition of Kozilek's naow. I should be able to squeeze in a couple removing the rev along with something else.
I thought the Vault of the Archangel would work well in here with tokens and birds, super flexible which is something I thought was cool.
Think I should try to get another Breeding Pool in there for another green source?

The most stressful part regarding fixing in your deck is going to be hitting double black before T3 (for a potential Damnation.)
Normally, Liliana of the Veil's double black requirement is what necessitates a lot of the fixing, but you should be alright, without her.

I just played a game and realized exactly how effective she is... lol.I'm thinking I need to bring in 2x Raven's Crime almost so I can target myself In a pinch to throw out a reanimation target if I draw one or have one opening hand
Thoughts on that? I could drop the count of Thoughtseize as well.

Well, the good news is that she's rapidly dropped in price. I think she's like 45-ish bucks atm. Still kind of expensive, but it's better than 70.
I'm under the suspicion that she's gonna be reprinted in M16, for several reasons- so don't count yourself out yet :P
I'm not exactly sure if a second crime would be worth it... Test it out.
January 18, 2015 12:21 a.m.
Okay, I'll play around with it for sure.
And i'll inquire into this and see if I can't get some feelers out for it.
But you are right 45 is better than 70 the thing is, nobody wants to let her go lol

My reasoning is that they wanted to print here in M15, but found black to be too strong. What changes about M16? Well, for one thing, Thoughtseize rotates out...

slovakattack, I was reading about Knight of the Reliquary and she seem's like she could function really well in the deck.
VAT DU YU ZINK?!

Sorry for the lack of response, I was at my Prerelease!
(Pulled an Ugin, and a Wingmate Roc :D)
KotR is a great card, but mostly in Midrange-Gifts. It's great when you can use liliana otv to discard lands for increased value. However, Gifts Control focuses more on stabilizing than the beats.

slovakattack alright, makes sense.
What about a card like Smallpox in gifts?

It'd be great in your build, if it didn't stipulate 'land' as well. Gifts Control only really operates fully when it hits it's land drop every turn. Taking that away is more of a blow to you than it is to, say, delver.
January 18, 2015 6:30 p.m.
Word!
Thanks for the input man.
It's working well so far, I just need to get my hand on some SB meta hate.

Creeping Corrosion, Hurkyl's Recall and Nature's Claim are great hate vs. Affinity (Nature's Claim is also good as 2x against Pod. 'Cause screw pod.)
Shadow of Doubt and Aven Mindcensor are great against Pod as well.
Spirit of the Labyrinth (remember, Gifts does not count as drawing), Drown in Sorrow and maybe a single Disfigure are excellent hate against Delver.
Chalice of the Void and Timely Reinforcements are good against Burn. Chalice can also screw Affinity.
January 18, 2015 6:51 p.m.
Yus, I was definitely thinking of Shadow of Doubt and Chalice of the Void (Hard to get though) and i like Timely Reinforcements actually, works well with Elesh.
and Nature's Claim is pretty damn good.

@slovakattack I think this is what the final build will look like. I tested it a few times last night an Wurmcoil Engine was an all-star so I like him MB.
Any thoughts?
I'd still like to get my hands on a Celestial Colonnade as well and slot it in. Perhaps a Leyline or two in the SB.

I would take out a land (bringing you back down to 60 cards), and you could probably get away with getting rid of engineered explosives (or at least SBing it) in the new meta. I would find room for Slaughter Pact in your MB, as it can ruin Twin/Kikkistuff, which is going to be the premier UWR deck for the foreseeable future. Now that Pod is dead, Nature's Claim can come out of the SB. Try 1x Creeping Corrosion and 1x Hurkyl's Recall. I am still adjusting my own SB, so we shall see what becomes of that.
Shadow of Doubt seems interesting to me as a MB card. Any particular reason why?
January 22, 2015 10:13 a.m.
I like those recommendations.
I run 1x Shadow of Doubt just for that lol, put some doubt in their mind. Snuff a fetch land, Snuff out prime time digging, pretty much anything that I can, it's just for some brain games and setting them back a land drop is nice and kinda messes with their strategy. They also gotta think about snapcaster too.
It's easy SB material. But yeah, main reason, psychological warfare baby
=p

It shouldn't hurt all that much.
If you're having trouble with Tron, which is a matchup I don't like for Gifts, try a few Evil Presence in your SB. Making their tron lands swamps robs them of their ability to tap for extra mana, and gives you time to get some land destruction online.
January 22, 2015 1:01 p.m.
I haven't faced tron yet, but I'm sure I will and I like Evil Presence in case I don't have a Shadow of Doubt.
What do you think about Clever Impersonator?, Copy Lili, Karn, Wurmcoil, Batterskull, Anything else that might be threatening.
