turn 1: Paradise Mantle, Glimmervoid or Ancient Ziggurat or Plains, Perimeter Captain or Cathedral Membrane .

turn 2: Glimmervoid or Ancient Ziggurat or Forest or Plains, stalwart shiedbearers or Overgrown Battlement or Cathedral Membrane .

Basic concept: use your defenders to buy time until you can play a Vent Sentinel or a Banefire. use Sprouting Phytohydra to block smaller creatures to further accelerate both mana and damage through Overgrown Battlement and Vent Sentinel. once you have a few stalwart shieldbearers out, you can get really crazy and start blocking bigger creatures. On top of that, as long as you have Perimeter Captain on the battlefield, you gain 2 life whenever you block. Use AEther Membrane to get rid of the big threats, and don't be afraid to use your Cathedral Membrane to kill especially nasty critters like Phyrexian Juggernaut . If you get into a bad situation, just play Norn's Annex to slow the attacks down to a crawl.

My goal for this deck was to make a versitile and adaptable defender deck that wouldn't always backfire on me.+1 if you like it. please comment.
