Sideboard

I decided to rebuild an old Azorius defender tribal deck I had from around RTR era with some newer Selesnya options. There are two wincons: ramping into Colossus of Akros and doing silly, silly things with Assault Formation + Tree of Redemption . The rest of the deck is focused on staying alive until then, mostly by screeching, "Not the face!" Order of the Stars makes for a resilient blocker against specific threats, while Perimeter Captain and Stalwart Shield-Bearers handle the more general cases. Axebane Guardian ramps up the mana to cast Colossus of Akros and close out the game. Entangler + Shield of the Avatar make one blocker capable of handling an entire board. In a pinch, Holy Day and Ethereal Haze can save a board... or at least a face.

Currently, this deck has two big weaknesses: board wipes and fliers. While the low curve means it's pretty easy to build back up, losing card draw and a wide board of synergy hurts. As for fliers, the flying defenders tend to otherwise be pretty vanilla, so it's hard to justify taking out other defenders that synergize better. There's some flying hate in the sideboard, but having none in the mainboard is probably a mistake, so I'm looking for ways to rebalance. One thing to note is that this deck is defender tribal, so any suggestions steering it away from that theme will be ignored. Mentor of the Meek only squeaks in because I really need card draw and tend to have mana to burn. Other than that, though, all criticism and suggestions are welcome!
