Conjurer's Closet is better in here than I first expected. I would drop Spidersilk Armor

Now that Eldritch Moon is here, change Natural Order to the new Eldritch Evolution
July 14, 2016 6:19 p.m.
If you're concerned about fliers, why not Silklash Spider or Gravity Well? The former isn't a hydra, but it could repeatedly wipe the skies of any fliers. The latter is an enchantment that makes your opponent think twice about attacking you with their dragons and drakes.
Other than that, I could only lament the lack of haste in mono green. sigh Regardless, +1 from me.
EDIT: I almost forgot. Why not consider Hall of the Bandit Lord too? It grants haste.

My bad, I just noticed you had 31 creatures. Why not Zendikar Resurgent? More ramp and card draw. I'd remove Vernal Bloom as that helps your opponents.

Thank you for the feedback! :)
- I updated the description with cards that go well with Conjurer's Closet. It's not an auto-include, since it is only 6 cards, but on the other hand they are really good.
- You are right about Natural Order - I should include it, though I'm not sure what to drop. I do think that Spidersilk Armor provides a meaningful defence, and I am considering buffing it with some of Phaetion's suggestions.
- Not sure I want to go the mana-dorks way with this deck. But it could use more ramp, especially spells that fetches lands to hand.
- In a mana-heavy deck like this, I would first-pick Natural Order over Eldritch Evolution, but both could be an option as pointed out by MutaliskLord4. The remaining question is: what to drop?
- I am concerned about fliers, since they are very real in my meta (any meta, I imagine). Silklash Spider's ability is awesome, but creatures are so fragile compared to enchantments. Gravity Well on the other hand would be something I would like to add to the deck.
- Regarding Hall of the Bandit Lord: but ofcourse! thanks.
- Zendikar Resurgent is really nice, but also really expensive. Since this deck is not meant to be competitive (doh) I'd like to try it out. Since it also fit the card advantage category, I think I'll drop Garruk, Caller of Beasts rather than Vernal Bloom. Vernal Bloom fits my curve pretty well (a doubler at is awesome), and the drawback is okay.
Cheers
Changelist
- Garruk, Caller of Beasts --> Zendikar Resurgent: card advantage AND doubler.
- Forest --> Hall of the Bandit Lord: A hasty decision. Drum roll.
- Ring of Three Wishes --> Natural Order: A much better tutor.

Maybe Feed the Pack would work out great here it would take your 12/12 Hydra to 12 2/2 wolf's. Also reminder it's a may ability so you don't have to sacrifice your Hydra if you don't want to. I would take out Spidersilk Armor

@griffstick or 24 (Doubling Season) or 48 (Primal Vigor), yes? One of them could even become +48/+48 if Death's Presence is also in play :)
I'll think about it. Thank you for the suggestion.
Cheers

While certainly fault heavy in a non-aura deck, I think Blanchwood Armor could be fun in this because how many forests this deck accumulates. It can pump the hydras that you paid a small X on so you could save the mana for other cards, it can pump your utility creatures to protect them from burn/make them strong blockers, or you could just make your commander stupid big and swing for lethal.

Since crucible of world does not give me a great advantage with Burgeoning and it, together with the fetches, is a significant part of the pricetag for the deck, I have chosen to replace those cards.
- Crucible of Worlds --> Kodama's Reach: Also rampy
- Azusa, Lost but Seeking --> Yavimaya Elder: She sort of lost her value with Crucible out of the picture.
- Verdant Catacombs --> Cultivate: Need rampy stuff
- Wooded Foothills --> Forest
- Windswept Heath --> Forest
- Misty Rainforest --> Forest
Cheers

Personally, I would put in a Karametra's Acolyte. I run it in my hydra deck and it works wonders.

I think you should use the other art for Polukranos, World Eater. Awesome deck! Hail hydras!

i don't know so much but it might we worth looking into to try to squeeze Forgotten Ancient into the deck. In a game with many players, he could get big, which if you want you can make your hydras even bigger, like Kalonian Hydra. Also looking at the deck, I only see 2 instances of trample. I'd try to throw in Brawn just in case.

Karametra's Acolyte????? BIG ramp. Basically a Nykthos without the mana activation cost.

I would change Bramblecrush for Acidic Slime. Acidic Slime also pairs up with cojuerers closet and it provides a deathtoutch blocker as well

Khalni Hydra is pretty good. and for more mana you can run a Karametra's Acolyte. Mana for days

Thank you for the suggestions :)
@ChasingResonance/gatweb/dakotastic
- Karametra's Acolyte: While it can make a lot of mana, it is also slow (has to wait a turn) and is very vulnerable beeing a creature and all. It is also which is a lot. I think I'll pass for now.
- Thanks man. I like both of the images so I think I'll let my wallet decide what I end up with! :)
- I don't expect to have any surplus of mana, so I'm not sure Omnath, Locus of Mana will do enough in the deck. Also, he is not a Hydra ;)
- Forgotten Ancient is awesome! I run it in my Damia Counting Counters deck. Though I don't like that he is not a hydra ;)
- Brawn would be nice. Having some more generl utility trample would make sense (there are currently 3 in the deck Akroma's Memorial, Nylea, God of the Hunt and Primal Rage). But what should I drop?...
- You are right. I'll swap. Thank you.
Cheers
Changelog
- Forest --> Sakura-Tribe Elder: Land for ramp for more consistent flow.
- Forest --> Rampant Growth: Land for ramp for more consistent flow.
- Bramblecrush --> Acidic Slime: Better as long as I have Conjurer's Closet in the mix.

You know since this deck can have so much mana why not give Helix Pinnacle a try?

Hey man, how about Hardened Scales? supercheap AND effective!
Llanowar Reborn + Ghost Quarter + Crucible of Worlds is (imo) a nice combination for some extra +1/+1 counters.
Glaring Spotlight takes care of those nasty hexproofs and can make one attack fatal.
Nice deck, +1 from me!

Natural Order could be good. Sac a Hooded Hydra token and boom Craterhoof Behemoth. I think you could drop either Conjurer's Closet or maybe Spidersilk Armor. Conjurer's Closet is a great card but I feel like it's a nonbo with too many of your creatures in this deck and I feel like hydras are going to have a hard time with flying with or without Spidersilk Armor so it could be dropped without much of a problem.
