Languish was not included because even after Delirium buffs only 4 of my creatures survive it. Infinite Obliteration is being considered but I don't think I want it because there just isn't enough room. Balancing 3 colors and a curve is hard enough, but I have to watch the number of card types too and there just isnt a sorcery I'm willing to cut for it. Thanks for the feedback though and don't forget to +1 if you liked it!

Really like this deck, just got it for FNM this week.

What do you do when you side in Ishkanah, Grafwidow? Who do you take out?

Well first off, this is an updated version from my own FNM experience so cards like Not Forgotten and Vessel of Nascency were the ones I would cut. Now with how I have it updated, it is very important to keep the card types consistent so you'll want to take out 1 of a bunch of different cards. Dead Weight is usually okay to drop 1, Topplegeist is okay to sub out with the low creature count decks. I also was okay with removing a Gnarlwood Dryad when I played. If you did sleeve up the deck already blackdahliaburger, then make sure to test out a lot before FNM as this is an extremely skill-intensive deck that really rewards a high level of knowledge of how it works. If you scroll through the revision lists you can see that I've modified this a ton to make it functional. I wouldn't change anything from this list except maybe changing the Whispers of Emrakul to Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet in the sideboard. If you're confused about any of the card choices let me know and I'll explain why they're here or why they aren't. (Yes Sylvan Advocate got cut. Shocking I know.)

You seem to pretty much have it down, so I'll throw in more support than help.

But you mentioned you wanted some sideboard options. Hangarback Walker is a fun one, because you could cast it for 0 and one turn one you have a one drop plus an artifact AND creature type in your graveyard for delirium.

I would have said Vessel of Nascency but you mention it didn't work in your updates. But not a viable sideboard option?

The problem with Vessel of Nascency is the card doesn't do enough. It gives you very minor card advantage, you have almost no control over it and its a horrible topdeck in the late game. I've found Sinister Concoction fills the slot for fueling Delirium better while still having a much more relevant effect in the late game. The sideboard is meant to shore up my weaknesses not make my strengths stronger. So one of my rules for the sideboard as I was crafting the deck was not to make Delirium easier, in this kind of deck you have to trust that you'll get it naturally. And really if you dont have it by turn 5 you should've mulliganed. So that's why Vessel got cut, no more Delirium cards that are only there for Delirium filling but rather good payoff cards for Delirium and just a really strong removal suite. One of the cards I've actually been considering is Anguished Unmaking over Collective Brutality, let me know what you guys think about that.

I like the change to Anguished Unmaking because its both creature and PW removal. To the Slaughter is highly dependent on having delirium activated, and the 3 life cost isn't much for Unmaking.

I've been looking for a good Azban Delirium build for a while. Well done, some great ideas. +1

This is a really cool deck and I love the way it works but I feel like you need a little more card advantage/ card draw.

August 5, 2016 4:07 p.m.

Zaueski says... #10

Nafinity, it looks that way at first but there is a lot of card selection and if you can get a Grim Flayer online early then you're completely set for draws. Traverse the Ulvenwald also guarantees that I get my threats when I need them. Even failing that, so many of my cards are answers and all the rest of them are threats. So the deck actually runs pretty smoothly, despite appearances.

I've been wanting to test this deck, but what should I switch Llanowar Wastes for when Kaladesh releases and Origins rotates out?

August 7, 2016 8:09 p.m.

Zaueski says... #12

AwezomePozzum, honestly I keep wondering that myself. In a perfect world Kaladesh will give me an untapped dual land. Failing that finish off the playset of Hissing Quagmire and then just add in either Foul Orchard or more basics

The interaction between Liliana, the Last Hope and Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet is simply too good not to mainboard.

Checkout the Pro Tour Sydney Final, Gideon came through like a powerhouse too so mos def try running a couple.

Rabid_Wombat Ohhhh thats going to make it so hard to get this deck... Freaking pro tours...

AwezomePozzum says... #15

Rabid_Wombat Aaand that is confirmed. MTGstocks says that Liliana, the Last Hope just went up like $20. It's like $47 dollars now, and it's probably going to go up even more.

It was like $27 four days ago...

I think i'll replace the 3x Llanowar Wastes by bringing Hissing Quagmire to 4 and Shambling Vent to 3.

Sigh. If I wait until the prices go down it'l already be Aether Revolt.

The deck is very expensive, but it does win often and consistently. I have a sleeved version that ive been playing at FNM with the results posted in the updates. The only difference being I dont have the third Liliana, the Last Hope and am subbing in a third Mindwrack Demon. This weekend I'm going to try the new changes I've talked about in the update if I can find the cards before FNM. Also AwezomePozzum please don't spam my comments, say what you want to say in one comment.

Also, I wouldn't tinker too much with the mana base. You need untapped green mana to start the game 4 times out of 5

Zaueski:

Alright. I'll add a basic instead of a third vent.

Sorry for spamming the comments.

Really hoping I can get this deck actually running. Probably the most expensive stuff I actually own for the deck right now are two foil Traverse the Ulvenwald.

Was working on building this deck last Friday and my LGS didn't have all the cards needed so I bought a box and managed to pull my 3rd Lili so I was pumped but i'm kicking myself for not buying the last two Grim Flayers I needed at $8 as I had to order them online for $13 a piece now.
