The problem with Tombstalker is that it's not the guaranteed turn 2 play that Goyf is.

Mmm I think you're right Kaitoghost. I think I probably going to go with Standstill as a replacement for TC. What do you think is the best replacement for TC in this deck? :)

I concur with that though I'd drop Ponder over Standstill for that.

Cut the Thoughtseize instead. With the Bitterblossoms, you're already losing quite a bit of life.

What do you think about adding 1 Tasigur, the Golden Fang? Its basically tarmogoyf number 5.

mmm that is true w00tthehuk182. :) i will try it out. I just fear that i won't be able to use its ability. it uses 4 mana in total and i have a total of 4 mana generating lands in this deck. I usually play this deck with 2-3 lands in play. and the ability is not really beneficial for me... the opponent would just give me a fetch land... it might affect Tarmogoyf negatively with the delve, but i will not know until i have tried.

hi Kaitoghost! :D i have done some testing with Daze. Daze is a really awesome card and it really shines in the early game. though the mechanism with it removing an island is really frustrating for this deck. in the early game i really need tempo and losing a land really slows it down. when i have 2-3 lands in play already, it's no problem, but by then i would say that Daze has lost much of its potential. Do you think differently?

Late game, Daze loses its punch, but it's a free counter spell on turns 1-3, and can be pitched to Force of Will. What you really want to use Daze for is removal spells that target your turn 1 Delver, or a turn 1 Liliana of the Veil off of Dark Ritual, things like that. It's a very tempo counter spell, and I run 4 in all my Delver lists.

I feel like you could use a basic or two here... Wasteland is all too real a card to not play around it to a degree ESPECIALLY at such a dangerously low land count as it is. I personally feel like you could just drop the Lotus Petals in favor of 2-3 more lands and something else like some number of copies of Daze or maybe even Spell Pierce, yes the petals let you go play something like a turn one Goyf but it feels slightly win more to me. Granted, I haven't been in the Legacy meta in a looooong time now, a couple years so my opinions could be way way off.

4 Ponder and 4 Brainstorm is enough draw power. Probe is not needed here. Thing is a bug deck works better with a disruptive aggro/control style. I know because I have played bug delver in legacy for some time now and I did test with a list like this one but it lost about 70% against other creature decks. Disfigure is great against them and also I main deck a Spell Pierce as daze kinda sucks against some combo match ups. If you want more draw then use Dark Confidant. You have a low cmc deck so it wont hurt that badly. Yes you could flip a Force of Will but that is not enough of a down side not to run it unless you play against a combo heavy meta in which case more discard, specifically Hymn to Tourach is great.

Tombstalker it's the black equivalent of Tarmogoyf though nothing really is the equal of the goyf. Goyf is already using your graveyard as a resource to increase its P/T but if you're really looking for something to abuse your graveyard your best option is the stalker.
