This is my developing attempt at a modern dimir control mill deck.

Most people seem to be of the opinion that modern mill, the extremely fringe strategy that it is, should be played as fast as possible as a kind of burn deck. I'm trying out something a little different, experimenting with a much more black heavy, slower control approach.

First turn nothing is more satisfying than Inquisition of Kozileking into a Surgical Extraction, or turn two, Mana Leaking into one, and these cards have great potential to cripple my opponent's early game, slowing them down immensely. Surgical Extraction being single handedly capable of decimating many combo strategies, and removing integral cards from many decks.

As my only creature, Snapcaster Mage is basically another control or mill spell when need be, and can serve as an emergency blocker when required.

Nephalia Drownyard , Archive Trap (with Ghost Quarter), Glimpse the Unthinkable, and Mind Funeral mill, grinding down the opponent's library, and offering Surgical Extraction and Crypt Incursion targets.

I'd like to get a working mill deck up and running, and this one is still undergoing testing and frequent changes, so any advice is very welcome!

Anyone know how to display the regular Surgical Extraction art? For some strange reason the promo is the default, and the regular art is so much nicer.
