This deck is very focused on using the big demons like Demon of Loathing and Lord of the Void early on to pay for cards like Thrill of Possibility or the ability of Immersturm Raider, then cheating them onto the battlefield with cards like Reanimate or Exhume. It initially used a lot more cards with madness, though I've moved away from it for the most part. Liliana's Contract is a really fun win condition, but it rarely ever goes off successfully. It's really not the best card to play in this deck, but it's the reason I made the deck in the first place so taking it out would basically remove the entire reason I wanted the deck to exist in the first place and make it just another reanimator deck. Emergence Zone is there to be able to flash Liliana's Contract in and pull a surprise win, though if there's a better card to do that with for a Rakdos deck, I'm not sure. I'm always looking to try out new demons and see how they work, though I do really like the synergy I have between the big guys.
