My Rakdos deck for kitchentable Magic with Demons, Ogres and some graveyard stuff. Built around Yukora & Embodiment of Agonies.

This deck has a long story. First my friend made a Rakdos Ogres deck that was something like a midrange deck. It already had Yukora, the Prisoner, Mausoleum Turnkey and Poisonbelly Ogre. Later we decided to buy some cards and build decks with all color combinations and the Ogre deck was replaced by a Madness deck.

We had a Sultai deck too with my ideas which was the first deck I ever made. It was a kind of aggro/treshold deck, it had Bonehoard and some of the cards I now play in my Muldrotha EDH deck, (while I also started to play the Sultai deck again online in 2022 so now that is also on my profile).

When couldn't meet that often, we split the cards. We both kept some and then we both made new decks. I got cards from the old Rakdos Ogres deck, so once again the deck lived, but I didn't know where to go with it. Later I found Embodiment of Agonies and it hit me that I could make a fun deck with it and with the remaining cards from the Rakdos and the Sultai decks. It gave me the idea for this janky, fun deck with some pet cards, using only one copy of most of them.

So I made this deck that has a graveyard theme and also an Ogres/Demons theme. Shoved in as many mana costs as I could for Embodiment, Ogres for Yukora, removal and some graveyard synergies. Here the one ofs are actually part of the concept rather than just not wanting to make the deck symmetrical.

Now the deck has the spirit of both the Sultai treshold deck and the Rakdos Ogres deck, with a new mechanic. A nice addition to my kitchentable collection, a random goodstuff type of deck that can produce many different outcomes.
