Pretty interesting take on using the demons. Definitely try to fit Vault of the Archangel in if you can. Also feel free to check out my demons deck, deck:i-hope-they-serve-torpor-in-hell. Good luck!

I was thinking of adding that but i'm not sure what to take out. Might replace an Isolated Chapel and Plains . Thanks!

At least one Cavern might be expendable too. Pit-Dweller and High Priest tend to laugh in the face of counterspells to begin with.

I was thinking about fitting in Cathedral Sanctifier He's a one drop human with life gain and I can Cloudshift him.

Running some kill spells may be an idea. Tragic Slip capitalizes on your sacrifice theme.

Thraben Doomsayer is a constant human producer, which you may need if you have to feed a hungry Archdemon of Greed  Flip  Flip.

Harvester of Souls is a big fat demon who gets you cards when (non-token) stuff dies, but 6-mana is a tad expensive and tokens don't count for him.

Erase is far more effective than Cursebreak on your sideboard, since it deals with Rancor . Revoke Existence is also a nice idea if artifacts bother you, but it is a sorcery.

Duress is broad-spectrum compared to Despise . Unless you really need your opponents to discard creatures, Duress is the superior option.

@FoxOn36

I forgot all about Tragic Slip !I might go with 2 Duress and 2 Despise because some creatures like Mirran Crusader Snapcaster Mage and planeswalkers. I'll definitively use Erase Thanks!

I think that 4x Doomed Traveler would fit better than Treacherous Pit-Dweller . You'd have more advantage of sacrificing it.

@aeonstoremyliver

Treacherous Pit-Dweller helps me use Scroll of Griselbrand . It's basically a Blightning jr with all my demons.

Plus the 1 CMC drop is always nice. Also, Skirsdag High Priest is such an awesome, underrated card that you need 4x of it!!! It's a 2 drop, so will round out your mana curve. If you took out 1x Demonlord of Ashmouth and 1x Soulcage Fiend , you'd have room for 4x Skirsdag High Priest .

card:Black Sun's Zenith is phenomenal against Mirran Crusader and token decks. Taking out 2x Essence Harvest from your sideboard and adding in 2x card:Black Sun's Zenith is something you won't regret, IMHO.

+1!!!!!

I can see that. Treacherous Pit-Dweller is a great card and has mass synergy with your deck for 2 CMC, but having your opponent gain control of a 5/4 would really suck...

( our comments must've gone through at the same time...lol)

@aeonstoremyliver

card:Black Sun's Zenith is a great idea! I really love the Skirsdag High Priest I'm going to add 1 more of him since i currently own 3. Thanks!

Sure thing, man! Looking good! The upside to BSZ for you is that your Undying stuff will come back bigger lol.

@aeonstoremyliver

I took your advice and added 4 Doomed Traveler now it's time to test it!

Nice! I may know what I'm talking about, sometimes...lol. But, the feedback I give is always constructive, and in my opinion.

How do you like it?

If you would, I have a few new Standard brews I'd like you to check out:

I made some changes. I removed the Demonlord of Ashmouth for some Demonic Taskmaster . He allows me to trigger morbid at the beginning of my upkeep and he's a 4/3 flyer to boot!

Also added an extra Ravenous Demon  Flip so i can draw him more often.

personally recommend Reaper from the Abyss along with Thraben Doomsayer the reaper is a high mana cost so think about it first but his morbid is quite effective at slaughtering an opponent's stronger creatures if you're sacrificing humans for the Ravenous Demon  Flip . take a look at Champion of the Parish , he could also be effective considering the amount of humans you would/could be dropping

I really like this deck, mainly because I like the idea behind it haha, I have a kinda similar deck deck:demons-and-goblins-and-burn-oh-my that has goblins instead of humans as fodder, but I do really like the synergy here, though I would love to know if you have consistency with Skirsdag High Priest because when I tinkered with him I really couldn't get him to be as useful in practice as he seemed on paper, so let me know!

@strateupjee

He is very useful! Especially two of them out! I always have enough tokens out. Unfortunately he has a huge target on his head.

strateupjee says... #19

Nice :) I love to see a deck that can use him to his full potential, and I hear that haha, I experienced that with Undead Alchemist

@strateupjee

Poor Undead Alchemist . My first magic deck ever was built around him. When he went off it was nuts!

August 12, 2012 3:29 a.m.

strateupjee says... #21

The only bad parts about him are that with the overwhelming amount of 2/2's out there you can't ever swing him, and being blue he gets Doom Blade d instantly :(

You know, If someone wipes your tokens/Humans, and you can't sac for Archdemon of Greed  Flip  Flip you can always tap for Vault of the Archangel to nulify the damage he would deal. It's not a gaming winning strategy, but more of a save your life strategy.

@Jokernaught

Wow I will keep that in mind if that situation arises. Thanks!

Wow! You make the funniest decks sir! :D

@DarthTrevyn

Thanks! I love playing this deck...especially in multiplayer. The funniest match I had with this deck was against mono white and he had Light of Day out and I had 17 demons and didn't draw one Oblivion Ring !
