It's a good card! To think everyone dismissed it as a trash mythic when the set came out just because it wasn't flashy. :P

I think they dismissed it because it is not aetherling (hate that dude) I think it rocks. Flash, Cant be countered, prowess, evasion from direct removal and board wipes. Looks right to me for a finisher.

Nice. +1. I prefer AEtherspouts to Waterwhirl. Might give this a go at next FNM. It's sure to confuse people :-)

I had AEtherspouts in the deck previously, and although it is better in some situations I found that Waterwhirl is much less restrictive. Since big creatures are our win con, being able to bounce on their turn is better for getting damage through in most cases. Also consider that you have very capable blockers, which makes AEtherspouts even less competitive, since in many cases your opponents won't even be swinging due to obvious bad trades, making AEtherspouts a dead card in your hand. By all means play AEtherspouts and see how you like it, but don't under estimate the non restrictive Waterwhirl! Thanks for the comment and +1, and good luck at fnm! :)

No love for Anger of the Gods? Its a great way to shut down aggro decks, with the added bonus of exiling those pesky regenerators and cards like Bloodsoaked Champion and if sultai decks become more popular, or really anything playing nighthowler, it's gonna be even more relevant. I reccomend 3x in the side, at least. Good luck, love the archetype!

Good question. I haven't faced one yet, but I would either use Clever Impersonator on it (it's not targeting it, it's just entering as a copy), or hopefully burn it out. I will have to think about what I could sideboard in to deal with it, although I haven't seen it at my LGS. If I start seeing them sided in against me, I will consider swapping my SB around to deal with it.
Thanks for commenting!

Dictate of Kruphix seems to help with the stalling out in this deck

Ratchet Bomb is probably the best sideboard answer you have. I would honestly run 2-3 in the board and side them in against any green deck.

Araganor Ratchet Bomb is not standard legal, but I agree it would be a good answer. dougiefresh420247, Dictate of Kruphix seems like it would just give aggro decks more fire power against me. Could you explain?

But wouldn't Clever Impersonator come into play as a 0/0 hydra since you didn't pay any x costs?

I like this. This is an original concept. I do have some questions: #1 isn't the Mauler a little redundant? You already have Pearl Lake. #2 in my control deck I run 4 Dig Through Time. I feel it is one of the best cards in any control list. Do you ever feel that 2 just isn't enough? #3 Have you tried Mindswipe? I feel that this is one of the best counters/finishers URX control decks have. Thoughts? Other then that +1

Hello thanks for commenting!Glad you like it :) and yea I haven't seen any other list like it.
I am running 2 Dig because I am also running 3 Treasure Cruise as sort of a replacement for the other 2 Dig and the 1 Jace's Ingenuity that sees play in many UB lists, etc., and also because I just really like the card. I just havent been able to pick up the other 2 Digs, and will probably wait til they drop to their floor. The deck functions well with 3 Cruise and 2 Dig for the moment. I also feel like 4 might be too many, I would try 3 first.
I did play Mindswipe, but it ended up feeling like Crater's Claws with a restriction. For example, I would be in a top deck "pass" war, and wishing I could have a Crater's Claws to finish it out since they weren't casting any spells.. etc. I have enough counterspells as is, and I much prefer Claws in most stages of the game. I do realize that it is an instant whereas Crater's is a sorcery, however I usually find myself winning by an X burn on my turn anyhow.
Sorry for blabbing, thanks for the feedback!

Oh, and the mauler is necessary to have green in mainboard to call this temur :) I do of course have plenty of green in the sideboard, but it wouldn't show in the color wheel.

Interesting. I have had the exact opposite expierence with Craters Claw. I have found Mindswipe to be a stellar counter and finisher. Well if it works for you then carry on.

As for the Mauler I would like to see a Kiora or a Nissa in it's place but that is just me.

+1 Great deck mate! Love the inclusion of Clever Impersonator too.
I know you've already seen mine Aerostar, but for anyone else looking to delve into Temur control (Pun absolutely intended), feel free to take a look at my list. It's very similar in many ways, although is a little more creature heavy. Would love some extra feedback!

Love the deck! I never would have even thought of adding Fleetfeather Cockatrice but it seems like it could do work. +1
This is my take on Temur Control if you would like to look at it or anyone else.http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/08-03-15-DwR-temur-control/
